Our family really feels for you guys and gals who have to endure,
on account of the worldly tactics employed by the WT overlords.
when a jw husband of a friend of mine found out that she had been researching online about jehovah's witnesses , he described it as a "breach of trust" and a legitimate reason to break up the marriage (or at least separate , citing the wtbts "spiritual danger clause").. thankfully my own wife has been more understanding but is this kind of reaction common?
and is it in some way justified on the basis that snooping around online , talking to others on messageboards , not from day one telling one's mate etc is perhaps dishonest?
.

on account of the worldly tactics employed by the WT overlords.
this is a personal observation and certainly not representative of all atheists.
i enjoy discussions with folks of this persuasion; in general they appear well read and somewhat more educated than many believers.
as a group most atheists cringe and become insensed when discussing the existence of a deity with believers especially fundamentalists.
Many scientists like us novices', humbly make the statement that "The universe is so big that we can't wrap our brains around it!"
Anthropology is ever changing in it's placement of bones discovered and regional developments.
Over the last two decades, an increasing number of biologists have declared faith in The Creator of the intricate cell and it's amazing functions.
Those who hate WT lies and religious rules, have a hard time ever trusting in the Bible and God again.
This is a common result of "religious abuse", known clinically as; RTS .
Though there are many who don't have this condition, do deliberately chose atheism.
People have always believed what they want, regardless of a lack of definitive facts; and that works both ways.
God or evolution, they're both a matter of faith.
One side says the Bible is incomplete, the other explains the theory of evolution as having wholes in it's story!
Yet, considering the subject over most of our lives, the logical thing that keeps coming to mind is;
"too many (good) chance happenings occurred" for it to be without direction.
i would like some more enlightened beings than me to thrash this out.. to start the ball rolling with my small intellect.
i was always taught from my jw days that nothing came from nothing, and i accepted that.. all of creation had a start, and reproduced itself according to it`s kind according to genesis.
and of course we now know their are life forms that are a-sexual that reproduce.
Nice youtube search Twitch!
It shows how God has given creatures on earth, five dimensional lives.
An existence in 3- D , with 4 the gift of time, and 5 a multiple of
possibilities, circumstances, and choices; rather than fate!
Also; that any dimensions beyond the 10 listed,
we may conclude as part of the unseen spirit realm.
i was inspired by a recent thread i know i aint gunna crumble the wt, but a girl can dream to look at the effect we as individuals are having on the watchtower society.. 3dogs1husband quoted a story to show that even helping only one person is worth it.. it is encouraging to note that the one person you may have helped has lead to millions being helped, due to the power of compounding growth.. compounding growth is well illustrated by the rice on a chessboard problem.
if you start with 1 grain of rice on square one, and double it to 2 on the second, 4 on the third, 8 on the fourth, by the last (64th) square there would be 18,446,744,073,709,551,615 grains of rice.. likewise, if you help one person out of the grip of the watchtower this year, then next year you help one more and they help one, in a few years that is going to have a formidable result on the number of jehovahs witnesses.
look at the following statistics.
Hi trailerfitter ;
I think that if God listens to millions of prayers every minute, He's not lazy.
As for the things that we have to do in our worship to Him; this shows if we're in harmony with our prayers,
and what things we cannot do He picks up the slack in the end.
True, the WT still has many brags that it keeps mouthing; but when people like us refuse to listen to these self appointed men,
then God is aware of our attempts to serve Him in purity and will chose us to have His spirit not the WT corp!
a few days ago i received a friend request from an a guy whom i used to work with many years ago.
i accepted his request and this morning i receieved a salutation from him as well as a link to a video (posted below).
much of what is in the video sounds as if it came straight from the watchtower such as the use of "christendom" as all other churches, the paganism that permeates christianity, the removal of god's name from the bible.
When I researched it on the web (a two year period) some of the; linguistic experts, semitic professors,
and biblical historians came to the conclusion that the closest we can come to sounded like..."YeHuWaH."

Hello donny;
There's a lot of disenchanted people in the churches today. Many will never go back, and others buy an old building and start an ecclesiastical group. Even though I can't speak for those in the video, most of those who've read WT literature, or some other "left field" idea look similar. Aslo, like congregational groups; have no affiliation with a religion other than their single church and may only give the "Apostles Creed" as their main doctrine. Even without a said GB, these type of believers have become numerous though out the world these days!
PS: I can tell you more in SoCal this week...
(see http://www.jehovahs-witness.net/members/meetups/215294/1/Sept-10th-Meetup- SoCal -area thread)
More like the 5th and 6th however.
not sure if anyone has put this up yet.
i had it left in my door yesterday by the circuit and/or district overseer as my old cong.
is hosting this week.
Great catch 00DAD! "They want to control followers actions, words, decisions and even their thoughts!"
"I... dream... that I('m) there, trying to... to escape." Really, Lunatic Faith! Our family also has those kinds of nightmares.
There's allot of abusive techniques, and fear mongering that is used against people in the org.
Even after leaving, the mind is still in a damaged state from all the 'controls' inflicted upon it.

"Jehovah Will Sanctify His Great Name at Armageddon"
Good, then all in His family can pronounce it correctly!
If the WT org. was "the truth", they would know God's name
and pronounce it the same in every language.
But as it is; they do not know Jesus or The Father.
it is clear to me that the watchtower is a mix of official daily and official organ.
what gets published there is not only the "truth", but also the law.
what is the awake!
Eye candy for the unemployed, maybe they have time to read and get hooked onto the magazines.
recently stopped studying, and stopped in the street to talk to a jw i met during my time studying.
we were sorta friends (well, in the small way jw's and worldlies can be) and here's how it went:.
him: "did you have a problem with someone?
roxanesophia , your wonderful!
Since your into talking to JW dubes , here's a one liner from NY...
"Your to be commended for standing up for the faith, and telling the truth!"
