It sounds like the common consensus among us is :
1) no longer treating religions as from God, but accepting true worship of God
2) no longer putting mens word first, but God's word is the end all
3) it's not about organized religion, but small group meetings at home
4) it's not just ex-jw's, but all lost sheep no matter where they're from
5) not run by money at all, just helpers in the Lord
6) not dictated by same men till they die, just those currently involved
7) and studies not from Christendom's books, just historical information.

i was wondering if some of you can give me some advice in how to get over the fact that i feel so inadequate when trying to make new friends!!
since i left the borg i have only made about 2-3 close friends... the wts ruined my social skills and i am so depressed because i am afraid of the real world... i know i am ready to move on... but i dont know how.. i feel like i dont belong in there but i dont belong out here either... i am in social limbo.. and it sucks to have no friends.. .
when i was in i hated the weekends because i was basically forced to go to service, now i hate the weekends because if the few friends i have are busy w their families or partners i am stuck all by myself... :( please give me some pointers i feel super lonely!

Most in our family went through those difficulties too.
Some of the ways that worked for us were:
1) draw closer to God, and His truths
2) spend more time with cooperative relatives
3) get to know your neighbors with getting into their business
4) making friends with the managers of the stores that you shop at
5) reading books that help you cope with your issues
6) taking a course that improves your hireability, and moral
7) and get advice form other suffering sheep-like ones.

Our family knows two that were appointed pio. in one year, and MS's by the second year.
The 1st was a carbon copy of his beloved teacher-bud, only he lived w/mom; teach w/grandma.
His mom moved them out of state, we heard from him a year later; but not anymore.
The 2nd was a real fun guy if you didn't talk about family responsibilities keeping you from FS.
