Funny thing is, other than us talking about it, most JWs dont seem aware that any of this has happened.
I dont see or hear anything about this anywhere else.
I have sent the videos to some friends that are still in and their opinion seems to be that these are isloated random incidents.

It is a new and confusing day to be a JW.
jws look down on others for saying, "bless you" if someone sneezes.
it has something to do with the demons.
another example is that it is considered satanic if a man took his hat off for a lady!

the watchtower religion is a family destroying cult.
i'm sure many of us know of people who gave their lives to the cult then have nothing and get nothing in the form of help from jw's.. i know a man who gave up a very good job with great benefits many years ago because the watchtower had a conflict with his noble occupation.
of course the end was coming very soon so the man took a meager retirement and quit because of the watchtower.

I agree that at some point elders are just so overloaded and busy that they dont take time to nourish themselves spiritually.
It is very similar to what you see among lower ranking law enforcement officers.
A bit of a power trip, hard work and high chance of burnout.

reading others typically crazy jw experiences has made me remember one particularly distressing experience.... i did a careful fade long before i had even heard of the term and i didn't know of anyone else who did it.. i was an unwanted stepchild, and in all honesty a very difficult one i suspect, i had two much younger siblings, and was always excluded and the black sheep, as ina serious uber jw there is no room for any sort of noncomity, and i was never destined to stay a jw, or have anytime for religion i suspect.. i went to my grandmothers funeral, and the elder giving her talk, a very nice man, after all the preaching mentioned her two grandchildren of one gender...she had three and i am of the other gender.. it was a lightning bolt moment, i got up and walked out.... .
now with the benefit of hindsight it was no more than what i should have expected.... funny how things bring long forgotten memories up....

By the way Mikado, in my experience, it is the "difficult" children who are the most sensitive and the most brilliant,
well guys, i finally got back from the dc or whatever it's called nowadays.

however he came up with a perfect idea, he'd go tend the garden (obviously a solution for a married bro) or hit some golfballs at the driving range (maybe he's not married).. maybe jesus should have told the wine guzzlers at cana to sober up and go till the fields.. .
Anyone else notice that in all of Blondies quotes there was the factor of either time or money mentioned.
Fitting as that is what THEY are asking for from people also.

And why mention golf? The gardening I get but golf is an expensive sport to get in to. Why not tennis or jogging?

brother lett was giving the last talk of the day about what they supposedly accomplished in 100 years.
i was just waking up so im paraphrasing alittle(i was dosing off all day) anyways in his introduction he said.
"there is more evidence to prove gods kingdom on the earth is a reality than wind,electricity and gravity is a reality on the earth".
I thought being a human made you Gods child - his creation, the work of his hands.
Being baptized versus not being baptized was a poor illustration.
He should have said Jehovah loves you more than your unbaptized siblings.
Of course, THAT would be opening a big can of worms but at least his illustration would have been more scripturally accurate.
