Geoffrey Jackson. Seems he will be compelled to front up.
by umbertoecho inpray for brother jackson of the governing body!.
in todays news from australia it appears that, despite his previous declination to appear when invited, justice mcclellan from the australian royal commission on child sex abuse will officially summon brother geoffrey jackson to the stand after all.. ..... the commission was due to conclude its hearings into the jehovahs witnesses on wednesday but justice mcclellan said he will now call geoffrey jackson, a senior member of the churchs governing body in new york who is currently in australia, to appear next week.. .

Working theory here...
ALL websites pro and con are being monitored as to what the flock seems to be leaning toward in their thinking. Careful attention is being paid to feedback from middle men (C.O.s)
If it seems the flock feels the concerns are warranted, then the BEST thing Jackson could do is appear and agree and outline how the Org is gearing up to lead the world in pedophile protection and sensitivity.
That would give the flock a "reply to him who is taunting me".
It would be the surest way to shake loose from the jaws of the RC - agree with them and show you are working on their suggestions.
Then it wouldnt be long before the JWs were arrogantly tsk tsking other big more unwieldy institutions-who have been more resistant to responding in the positive.

Requested to have all the shepherding concerns in writing.
by quincemyles ini have not turned in a single field service report this year.
i decided not to, after noticing the simple flaw in the calculation of 1914. the implications are huge, i.e the appointment of the fds is a fraud.
i some days ago informed them of the private watchtower documents that are in my possession courtesy of the royal commission.

Respectfully requiring they follow your terms instead of their habitual comfort zone way of doing things. I really like the scriptural references you used too.
Great job quincemyles.

Oh yes......there still are a few sites floating around. I belong to one. My original goal when I could no longer get rational thoughts from the brains of my local elders over my personal situation was to write the Org. They seemed to waffle back and forth and come up with lame solutions such as me just "staying busy in the work" ( (I was already pioneering with 13 bible studies - most of them attending meetings and 3 already unbaptized pubs. so exactly how I was to be "more" busy was never clearly stated) and another big favorite line "just move on, the past is the past".
So baffled, I joined a PRO JW site and I joined here. My goal was to get the ying and yang of thoughts.
Within less than a week it was clear to me that anything I was going to learn about spirituality, accuracy and how to really cope was going to come from THIS site and not the other. They are too busy trying to "out spiritual" one another to think about true and accurate knowlege in any form.
I still remain a member and occasionally read there, it reminds me of being at the dinner table with my extended family. lol. Sad but true.

How soon would a new Elders' Book leak?
by Lemonp inas the shepherd the flock book is now in the public domain, if the .org decides to create a new manual, how soon will it be leaked?.
this is mostly a question for wifibandit, but anyone else who may know is welcome to answer.
would it be a matter of days before we get a .pdf?

I dont know but I have become a Wifi bandit groupie the same way that some around here have become an Angus Stewart fan!
My spiritual food is given to me so much quicker here than it was in the congregation.
Long live Wifi and all who collaborate with him!

how the things are going with my sister
by opusdei1972 inthis morning i phoned my sister so as to know how the things are going with her problem with the congregation.
if i remember well, five weeks ago, my sister was asked by the elders (in the street) to attend a judicial meeting for apostasy.
my sister told them that she firstly needs a formal letter specifying who is accusing her.

I have heard (here on this site) that involving the legal system gets you an abeyance which can last indefinitely. (or forever...see the familiar JW use of that word?)
In my off this board life, I have been told that the other way to get an abeyance is to state that you will be suicidal if you are DFd.
I was told this was the "new" protocol for the service desk to follow.
I am assuming if you are dealing with very difficult elders this "suicide" threat would have to appear in the form of documentation from a Dr. or therapist.
Basically, both reasons have ZERO to do with guilt of anything scriptural or lack of.
What is at play is legal liability. A paper trail of any sort ups the individuals odds and lowers the Orgs.
They know that.
So anyone being threatened with a judicial meeting they dont want should consider one of the two options above.
It is completely irrelevant if it is true or not. It is a pre-preemptive move using the only thing the Org fears - the legal system/judgements ($$$)

Let me never fall into the vulgar mistake of dreaming that I am persecuted whenever I am contradicted

Of course, Emerson was probably demonized to say that...shame on me for posting it.

Scottish Convention Revelation!

Well given the fact that (according to them) the Great Tribulation has to play out and then Armageddon plus all the stuff that has to happen politically before that even those two events, how could it be soon?
Is it before the new facilities they are building are finished in New York? Or after?
How soon is soon?

The Australian: Women to 'Never Rule' in Jehovah's church
by AndersonsInfo inhttp://www.theaustralian.com.au/news/latest-news/women-to-never-rule-in-jehovahs-church/story-fn3dxiwe-1227470092202.
august 4, 2015 annette blackwell.
a jehovah's witness official says the church's stance to never let women hold decision-making roles compares to muslim and aboriginal people adhering to their own ancient beliefs.

This is pretty sad coming from a religion that teaches that women will rule in heaven one day, used a woman (Catholic) expert and had a woman lawyer sitting front and center on camera every day of the hearings.
Not to mention examples from the very same Bible they are using to supposedly show why women cant be involved in any judicial hearings.
What about Deborah? Jael? Why did they include that information about Zenobia in one of the book study publications (Daniel book?)

Changes to the Kingdom Interlinear
by PanzerZauberei inin the 1969 kit the society used a book by bible scholar justus lipsius as source material for their upright stake "stauros" doctrine of the death of christ.
they used an image of a man hung on an upright stake with no crossbeam attached to it.
then they placed a caption under it saying that the illustration came from lipsius.

k..I'll give it a go!
The scripture mentions soldiers (plural) so maybe a soldier approached from each side and broke the legs of the men and when they met in the middle (Jesus) they observed him to be already dead?
I honestly dont know.....
is this something you are posing as a riddle - is there an answer? I wanna know!
