Perhaps Maria would like you to be reinstated so that the two of you could have a wedding without the worry of people you love not coming.

That is certainly understandable.

You will have to weigh out is that one day (wedding) worth being reinstated for?

If it is then you have your answer. If it is not then you and Maria will have to talk.

This will be one of many difficult situations you will have to face together once you are a married couple.

Maybe seeing how the two of you handle this will help you both learn about each other and your styles of making decisions about all of lifes issues?

so i attended a fairly large jw gathering last night with my active, elder husband.

it was a good-by party for a former special pioneer couple who have been demoted to reg pios and have now moved to a larger city to find work.

anyway, there was music and skits.

I wish we knew if it was our increasing clarity of vision or the reactionary decision making that seems to possess the Org.

should an anointed follower of jesus share the cup with unbelievers?

would the cup not be polluted by an outsider, invited in to a sacred thing?.

We had an awesome D.O. for a little while a few years ago.

He recited the words to "Imagine" in his concluding talk on Sunday at our Circuit Assembly. I had fun looking at the faces in the audience. Some thought it was awesome, some of the more tight laced ones looked unsure.

He got kicked out of the work due to the age requirements. He seemed glad to leave. He got in a tangle with some elders here and and told them they were "a bunch of assholes" lol

He was a gem and I am sure they were glad to retire him!

we were both regular pioneers and i was a ministerial servant.

we were very much happy to be witnesses and doing our best to do more for the organization.

don't know if someone else has posted about this but apparently mark sanderson was in brussells for the memorial, someone on fb with a public profile posted some pics and said he'd turned up in brussels, that a guy who had been sent to the bethel there had just got off the metro when the bomb went off.

don't know how true it is but there was a few ooohs ahhhs .. how wonderfuls .... photo.

The fact that there is not enough divine protection to spread across more than one Continent, would not lend credence to an all powerful protection but rather a very limited one.

Well then! They must really be amazed at the protection given the Mormon missionary who was not only in Brussels but also in Paris when that attack happened.
