  who cares?.

  the first time i was in distress with the watchtower, i was fortunate to find this place.

  my ego thought ,i was somehow special, that my posts were reaching a worldwide audience, and most of all i felt at ease, maybe home is a better word.

  It's funny that you bring this up because I was wondering how to end my days of visiting/ commenting on this site.
  Every time I log on, I learn something new but I wonder if I need to stop being an X-JW and move on.
  This site has helped tremendously and I owe all of the posters, past and present a debt of gratitude for their assistance. I hope I've been able to help other in the same way but it seems like I've been getting a lot of "thumbs down" lately on my half baked comments which confirms my feeling that I've contributed all I can and should move on.

  That would be such a shame to lose you.

  So you get dislikes, who cares?

  Although it IS too had that you dont know how mnany really enjoy your posts and the outlook you have.

  I think we notice the dislikes more maybe?

  Hope you stay, Youre one of the good guys.

  Its a mistake to spend so much time studying what your criics say and formulating answers to refute them.

  When you are focused on REacting you are not acting.

  A religion that is full of holy spirit would be a forward moving one of action - not a reactionary bunch of mish mash.

  So that is a core mistake.

  I am thrilled.

  what do you think is the main reason why so many young ones are waking up?

  seems as though the number of baptisms even for the young ones is down from what people report here.

  at my former hall the young ones are all in totally sheltered even while going to school.

  expressing thier desires to pioneer etc.

  Religion as a whole is having a harder time.

  This is reflected in all groups but most especially in the younger segment of the population.

  When people dont want to be somwhere, all it takes is a trickle at first to encourage others and then you have a flood of leavers.

  has anyone by chance read the latest issue of pshychology today?

  april issue, article title' moment of impact'.. i havent fiished reading it yet, but it got me thinking, how likely is it that many born in jws [ teens in particular since thats the age these issues start to appear] will end up with these problems mentioned in the article?

  i know of a few adults that have this problem, schizophrenia, bi polar, ect.

  i texted my mother a couple of questions.

  i asked if she thought that my children will die in armagedon even if they were good, and had a possitive outlook on life.

  I think there is a softening among the ranks.

  Not in the party line coming down from on high but just on the grassroots level.

  I think it is groundswell effect of mothers just not wanting to shun their children.

  It is still small but I definitely see it in my area

  ralph and pam candelario were active jws in colorado.

  ralph murdered pam.

  professor jim penton was invited to appear at the trial last month by the prosecution as an expert witness to answer questions about jws.

  I wonder why this should be so interesting? One murderer among thousands in the USA. What makes this one so special? Is it because he is a JW? What about the Catholics or Evangelicals or Agnostics or Atheists? Why specifically target this one?

  Circuit Overseer Coming For Lunch – Everything Has to be Perfect

  we have the circuit overseer’s visit this week, and my folks are having him and his wife over for lunch today.

  of course, i’m making it a point of hightailing it out of there to have my lunch elsewhere.

  when my mom asks me “why don’t you stay and meet him,” i just say, “well, he’s just a man like everybody else.” she says, “well, of course.

  If they dont want people asking them to autograph Bibles and such - they shouldnt be giving them rock star billing to begin with.

  When Morris gave the closing talk at the convention in Atlanta, it began to storm heavily. He said the brothers asked him to announce that everyone should remain in the building for 15 minutes after the closing prayer for their safety in the lightening.

  He then said that unlike his big brother he couldnt stay the storm.

  JAW DROP!

  Did he just SAY that????

  Yep. He was joking about Jesus being his big brother who could still a storm but Anthony couldnt.....yet.

  It was a puke worthy moment.

  That kind of thinking is where the problem of autograph seeking begins.
