New Article - Watchtower View of Homosexuality
by jwfacts ini have thought about writing this article for many years, and the awake!
2014 no.4 was the final straw.
there it states that jehovah's witnesses show no prejudice towards homosexuals, and "they neither mock nor mistreat people whose practices differ from their own.

what more cuts might be in the pipeline
by pepperheart inthere have been so many cuts in the past few years in the jw world what do you think might be next?

There has been a rumor floating around for years that they are going to cut the number of circuit overseers. Use qualified COBEs from a local circuit to do the job. Shorten the congregation visits to a long weekend (Thurs night thru Sunday).
I am not sure though since they removed D.O.s if that will happen but it would cut costs.
Circuit overseers seem somewhat of a liability as they cost the Org a lot of $$ and the members are finding them more and more of a visit they dread and just dont support

If I mull this over maybe I can come up with something better but the first thing that comes to mind is the whole foods movement.
Free range eggs, grass fed meats (not for baking but maybe the lard in pie crusts and such?).
Grass fed dairy milk, butter, cheeses.
You said Pillsbury so I am guessing that is the contest sponsor?
I like King Arthur flours personally,

The Congregational Make Up Research Project: WTB&TS wants to know you.
by oppostate inwe have a bethel speaker on the english side.
they're pretty regular up here since it's only three and a half hours drive from nyc.. but this is a special kind of visit.. it turns out he's involved in doing a special research project and the christian congregation of jw's wants to know us better.. in order for the broadcasting to address issues more meaningful for families, they want to know the demographic make up of the congregations.. he spoke with the secretary about young single publishers and couples 20-35 y.o.
how are they employed.

I think it shows they KNOW they have a problem.
Which is great...let them sweat a little.
The problem is not fixable so it doesnt really matter how much data they gather.
Old saying comes to mind...trying to shut the barn door after the horse is gone...

Same thought as Robo,
They have to gather and triangulate the data so the Holy Spirit can amaze the flock with its timely messages.

by EyesOpenHeartBroken inlet me start by saying that this forum has been helpful to me in many ways.
i haven't gotten involved in much commenting and i am not very assertive by nature so i've steered away from participating in debates.
but i have read threads often and had a sense of community.

I'll bet some of them have been secretly doing this at home but since it's ok now, all the Brothers should turn up to the memorial wearing high heels, tight pants and eyelinerFunniest thing I am going to read all day....even though it is early, I feel confident is saying this.
