Wasnt "Commentary On James" yanked because of who wrote it?
I would gather that would make it somewhat hard to find although not as much so as some of the ones previously mentioned here.
what is the rarest jb book ever printed?
i just bought a copy of the finished mystery and it can be a bit rare.
but i bet there are others much more rare.

Really good Stuck.
I especially relate to 5 and it lead to 7. Some of the first choices dont really seem to fit me. What happened is not because I failed to pray. The religion failed to pass muster.i remember reading here about a woman who wrote a religious column for a newspaper.
i would like to find that thread again but apparently my research skills here are not so good.
could anyone help me find that link?
Thank you so much fokyc for those two links. I am reading that first one now.

last week we had a reassurance ultrasound with our ob.
she was just supposed to check heartbeats on the two little ones and they were going strong!
but because she had extra time and she can be quite anal about her work (which is a good thing) she decided to take some measurements.
So very sad to hear this and you are both in my thoughts,.
lol ...if you are new here, you might not understand the question..
Yes to missing the red dot!
my therapist inspired me to start looking on the bright side.
even though i've pretty much given up listening to the bs and usually tune out the meeting by playing on my phone/tablet, i find the local needs talk oddly fascinating.
probably because it's the only part that doesn't seem outlined to death (at least at our hall), and you truly don't know what you get.
Someone should sit on the front row wearing their hat and exercise clothes. That would be funny! Thanks for the great review Sorry,,,,very fun to read.
well, that would be an airer.
it's all in how we hear the spoken word.
when a little boy, one fellow thought "world peace" was "whirled peas.
How about the one from the good ole "Kingdom Melodies"..."a pair of dice the earth will be..."
dear all,.
i have been a member here for some years although mostly in the background.
many of you have bravely shared your own experiences and i am very grateful for that but i have never been open about my own experience.. nevertheless, i would be very grateful to those of you who would now take the time to read about my own personal journey from the jw religion and the circumstances that caused me to abandon that way of life and how i landed up where i am.
Thank you so much for sharing your story erbie. You sound like a very good father and Im glad your children support you.
Hope you post often!
https://www.jw.org/en/publications/jw-meeting-workbook/april-2017-mwb/meeting-schedule-apr10-16/encourage-inactive-christian/.
this is part of the clam meeting this week.. how contradictory is it?.
first, they instruct people to avoid inactive ones and to shun them and to treat them the same as da'd or df'd ones, .
What I seem to see in my area is Witnesses trying to walk a balancing act.
They were told to avoid inactive ones who do "things displeasing to Jehovah" (talk about vague) and simultaneously they are to be encouraging to inactive ones who are one and the same!
Since these unspecified "things displeasing to Jehovah" are not technically disfellowshipping offenses, people have to decide for themselves how to "treat" them.
So it most often lands on the side of avoidance or awkwardness or simply what kind of mood the JW is in that day.
To me, the bigger picture is this points to a power struggle or confusion in the leadership. They cannot send a clear direction down the channels because no one is really flying the plane at the moment.
