for almost 12 years now, i have been coming to this site on a regular basis and in the last 5, i “faded out”.
i never regretted this and never will.
unfortunately though, yesterday, i realized that, until i can publically tell all my old acquaintances why i have left, i will never be truly free.

If this is a 12 year relationship and he is drinking heavily then you need the right tools to carve out some changes.
Isnt that what God would want you to do? Have you heard the saying "God helps those who help themselves"?
People can help some with ideas also.

They will give you the tools you need.
After you attend a meeting, people will be able to help you even more. I wish you much success.

loyalty appears to be the buzzword constantly promoted by the gb at the moment.
we hear it at conventions, assemblies, and meetings.. let's face it loyalty covers so much.
shunning of family, friends etc.
Whether the translation is "kindness" or "mercy" the thought is still similar and is not diluted.
Using the word loyalty changes the entire thought and meaning, shame on them.

It is not about me. It is about the person the service is for. I have honed the art of tuning out what is said from the platform and view Jws as just another religion among many.
I go when Catholic friends die too for the same reason.
Its true, I have personal history with JWs and the people there and the religion was personally not helpful and even hurtful in some ways to me but as I said, someones funeral/memorial isnt about me and I dont make it about me. I do it for them.
