LOL yeah HANDS UP it was me. The hightlighter pens were the best and why the F*** would I study when I have the intelligence of a knat and still can find the answer in the paragraphs . 3-5 mins flat . During the first year of marriage i studied with wife and her son but soon realised that my opinion on any other matter other than being a witness did'nt matter to them so I did'nt bother after that. The problem with them was they were silly sheep where I was a freethinking goat and proud to be.

Did you fake underlining the WT?
by shepherd ini read on another topic " i remember when i used to carry microphones years ago in the jw cult- only about 30 % had their wt's pre-studied, the rest just wing it i truly believe" and it reminded me that people will assume you are not familiar with the material if you have not underlined, and that there will always be those who observe the lack of ink and consider you must be unprepared (and so 'weaker' than them).. many times i used to fake prestudy just for that reason.
its easy to do, underline a random sentence or 2 in each paragraph or the sited scripture.
you can wizz through an entire article in 3 minutes....did anyone else do that?.

by Coffee House Girl incoffee shop guy directed me to his thread...thank you so much everyone for your thoughts of support, it means a lot to have people who understand and show genuine sympathy.
here's my experience so far.... my father dies monday night & my brother (nonjw) calls me to come home, when i arrive my father is still sitting on the couch- all the jw family is sitting in a semi-circle around him, my non jw brother is standing in the next room.
no one is crying, no one is talking.

two years later i met and married a lady witness was married for 7 years and during this time once again saw lots of hypocrisy and then the child molesters issue.

Thanks all for your kind words . My brother was pretty messed up for years got into drugs and nearly hanged himself at one point. Now don't misunderstand me as Im not blaming all his probs on my dad or the witnesses but they certainly were contributing factors in his probs. What amazes me about witnesses is they obey silly rules but break others ie watching violent or adultish movies, go on the internet and dress provatively and can be materialistic . Or like my father and others cheating on husbands and wives , drinking too much and so on is ok.
The worst thing for me is the fairweather friends they all are in my experience anyway. This Happened to my siblings and I and we had done nothing wrong.
I met my closest and most loyal friend when I was 17, 27 years ago and my one regret is that I didnt make him my best man when I married my ex wife because he was considered worldly. Truth is I love him more than any witness or even my fleshly brothers because we grew up together and went through quite a lot but have never let each other down. Although he now lives in spain with his lovely wife and 2 sons we still talk regulary and I visit when I can. I would take his friendship and place it above anyone else and always will.
Another problem was favouritism when apointing brothers which really is no different to the way promotion is done in worldly co's. The more you kiss ass and appear to be doing work wise the more chance you have of being promoted and has nothing to do with holy spirit guiding and more about face fitting and ass kissing. Something my father was adebt at was due to being intelligent could twist people around his little finger allowing him to get away with his misbehaviour.
Funny thing is My sis and I saw through most of the bs at a young age but stuck at it through fear of dying at tbhe hands of our loving heavenly father/ creator sickening really.
I bought a copy of crisis of conscience at was disgusted at the behaviour of those sitting in oversight of jw's and the way they disregarded scripture and make rules that are non scriptural and go against the sayings that we have love among ourselves what a crock ! .

That beating i saw my brother recieve affected me for many years almost 20 I think. He was a little toe rag but never deserved that . Trouble is when you give some men a little power they abuse it. I hate hypocrisy

my sister and i always say that the only reason he became a jw was because he's as tight as a knats chuff and didnt want to buy presents at birthdays or christmas.
i was 6 ys old and my sis was 7 my younger brother was 2 ys old .

I was 6 ys old and my sis was 7 my younger brother was 2 ys old . My first memories of the meetings was being bored out of my mind for a couple of hours at a time listening to some boring man droning on about god. I also remember watching some of the sisters deliberately making children cry so they could go out back and chat (even at that age) My mother was a good mum and I think she went just to keep my dad happy she really never swallowed the rubbish they spouted. She also starting teaching me to read from 4 years old and I loved to read so dad signed me up to min school which was ok as because I read so well and put so much passion I always got praise. We went to the book study at a family home of an elderly couple and thier 30y old daughter and they were nice but house smelt of cat food bless lol .
Being a child and being JWs had its drawbacks as we were the weirdo's that could'nt celebrate birthdays or christmas . I was bullied mercilessly by the kids and the teachers for different reasons. Being fairly intelligent and reading at a level way above what I should have been I lost interest and never got it back(apart from history). I was bullied until I was about 10 years old and turned the other cheek as I was told until 1 boy who had bullied me for years started on me , I hit him once broke his jaw and knocked 3 teeth out. Noone touched me after that. My little brother when he was 5 years old like to take food from the fridge and my father asked advice from the elders. Thier advice strip him naked tie his hands and beat him with a belt . He took and carried out the advice. That scarred me for many years and I never forgave my dad for that act or the scumbags that put him up to it.
My father was an MS and was well respected but not by my mother or siblings as he drank and cheated on my mother. He even tried to have sex with my mums friend whild she was having my youngest brother. He also drank and drove nearly killing himself 3 times.

Over the years Ive fancied loads of women that would'nt normally be my type but some women are sexy as hell even if they are not that beautiful. IE goldie hawn. And a beautiful woman can be ugly by her attitude and personality. I have never limited myself to certain types and have sampled many different complexions shapes sizes and all have done sonmething for me

Fast forward 10 years for some reason I met a witness and went back. I was feeling low and started studying with a lovely elderly brother and was baptised. two years later I met and married a lady witness was married for 7 years and during this time once again saw lots of hypocrisy and then the child molesters issue. Just before i got married my wife to be had a girls night out and 2 sisters kopped of with men. One of the women ended up cheating on husband with my partners 17 yold son and by claiming to be depressed and a few tears got away with a private reproof . The elder that gave my wedding talk was dfed for the 3rd time for adultery. However the worst thing were all the flip flops and peado issues. My wife would'nt entertain any issues and was also a misery who in the end just annoyed me the whole time and treated her youngest son like a king and me like I was something on her shoe. They also believed they were perfect and I was full of sin. We split in 2004 and I went to work abroad . I have never returned to a kingdom hall since.
Not much of a story I know but I have a few others for another time.
