  I think we went to the last meeting in bromley in about 1981 . I had 2 bros and sisters I must have been around 12 or 13 I think

  Rastall family dont ring a bell. Bromley cong regation was quite nice. When I was young there was a lovely brother who used to wear a bow tie all the time brother mcintire. Also Joe little and his family were nice and Henry little as well. Many with 2 faces as well though.

  His Father Ken was lovely his wife Inga reminded me of the queen and his daughters were spoilt and always looked down their noses at us poor folk they lived in a huge house in farnborough park very exclusive private estate in keston bromley.

  Can't sleep... Feel so alone!

  sorry, i am just feeling alone and needed to vent..... i hate the fact that i allow jws to control me for so long and now i have no friends!

  i mean, i do have a few, but at moments like this when my head is spinning like a thousand miles per hour, there is noone i can call and trust and talk to.... my friends all have their lives, and the few that i can call, i am afraid to do so... again, i know i said this before, but jw ruined my social skills... .

  i want to scream!!!

  Hi Free,

  The most Important thing is You Are FREE now. Starting right now you can rebuild your life as all of us on here have done and are still doing. I got out at 38 years old and was brought up as a witness. I took all the good things being a witness gave me and used it rebuilding my life, such as confidence in approaching people I did'nt know and had never met before and starting a conversation the only diffrence was the subject matter. Public speaking on the platform helped me to be a good holiday rep for thomson holidays in spain and helped me to become a good salesman.

  I'm not saying that all of us on here have that confidence but we have all got it deep down We just need to bring it to the surface. You have said you like to travel so travel because its the best thing as your out of your comfort zone as to meeting new people. Funny thing is people will suprise you. We were all told that none jws are evil and cruel of course some are but many are kind friendly and fun. I also met my partner while working abroad and She is the ONE I wish I had met her 20 years ago.

  The bottom line is you are free now and its time to experience some of the amazing things as a witness you could'nt . Obviously dont go mad like some do and try everything in the first few weeks and be careful because some people try and take advantage of vulnerable inexperienced people .

  Have fun because your new life has just begun Its terrifying But exciting.

  bromley was my congregation until 1982 . I thought delroy grant was from the forest hill congregation.

  i read on another topic " i remember when i used to carry microphones years ago in the jw cult- only about 30 % had their wt's pre-studied, the rest just wing it i truly believe" and it reminded me that people will assume you are not familiar with the material if you have not underlined, and that there will always be those who observe the lack of ink and consider you must be unprepared (and so 'weaker' than them).. many times i used to fake prestudy just for that reason.

  its easy to do, underline a random sentence or 2 in each paragraph or the sited scripture.

  you can wizz through an entire article in 3 minutes....did anyone else do that?.

  LOL yeah HANDS UP it was me. The hightlighter pens were the best and why the F*** would I study when I have the intelligence of a knat and still can find the answer in the paragraphs . 3-5 mins flat . During the first year of marriage i studied with wife and her son but soon realised that my opinion on any other matter other than being a witness did'nt matter to them so I did'nt bother after that. The problem with them was they were silly sheep where I was a freethinking goat and proud to be.
