Positives of Growing Up JW
by Pig ini dont think any of us are glad we grew up in the org.
but i was thinking about people who get cancer, and if they are lucky enough to beat it often they will say that they were better for the experience.
before they got cancer they were stressed because they had to work extra hours in a shitty job to make ends meet, the kids were nothing but trouble and they spent their lives wishing that time would go faster, that week would be over, that the year would be over.

Since You've Left The Organization Have You Turned Into A "Bad" Boy or Girl?
by minimus inthe witnesses say that if you leave the religion you will become a very vile person.
you will probably get vd.
you will get into drugs and booze, your life will go to hell.. personally, i've been pretty much the same guy although i would now be viewed as a "fornicator".

Children......
by cantleave incan anyone tell me if it was ever written that spending too much time with your kids is in effect idolising them.. i recall it being said by a co during an elder's meeting, but was it just one child hating co, or something embedded into the wt culture from the top down?.

Our co was a child hater , but then again He always behaving like a closet gay( not that being gay is a prob ) his name was roddy and he was a bit of a blouse

One step closer to freedom!
by OneDayillBeFree init has been some time since my last post on here and its been hard for me to post much since i'm still in and my fellow dubbies are always poking there heads in my business trying to find something wrong to get me into trouble, but i do enjoy lurking on here from time to time... and i do plan to post here much more in the near future!.
actually, being on this site and reading all of your threads (mostly on my phone) has become my favourite thing to do at meetings and on field service and pretty much anything wtbts related!.
you all have been such a great help and comfort to me when i feel down, seriously even the trolls that come around here every now and then leave me with a sense of tranquility, for it reminds me of how i used to be just like them at one point, it gets me all "happified" to know that i have now awakened and see the "truth" about the truth and feel quite at peace with myself at times.. as some of you that have read my first post may know... i've been working on a really, really long fade, and so far its been going steady to say the least.

I have been out for 7 years now. The world is an amazing place imperfect yes, at times scary yes. Exciting ,thought provoking educational, mind blowingly beautiful. I have met some lovely people who are not religious or judgemental. I learned that not everything that makes you feel good is sinful. I met an amazing woman (love at first sight) not religious but spiritual, fun, funny ,sexy, intelligent, independant, hardworking , opinionated (in a good way) thought provoking and someone who I will love for the rest of our lives together. I was married to a witnes lady who like most was judgemental with everything was mind numbingly boring. She completely changed once she snared me and i put up with it for 7 years.
Im out now and happier than ever, have a good job and enjoy life. So OneDayillBeFree Get out of it as soon as you can and start living its scary to start with but you will be free which is how we are meant to be. Good luck

Sister are not to talk to the brothers alone
by life is to short inok this just hit me the other day.. i was a sister in my early 40 an adult.
a very bad child molester moved into the hall, and was starting to be used.
i knew of his background and could not stand him or stand to see him gaining the apporval of the elders and congregation.

Luck for the elder and the nonce you are not my wife because I would have given him a hiding right there in front of all to see. When I was married and a witness an elder spoke out of turn to me about my wife and very quietly i told him that if it happened again for a few short seconds I would revert to the man i was before being A witness . Suffice to say his testicles dissappeared .

The trouble is all the fit young girls want a spiritual man which jw wise they usually are. What the women usually end up with are p**sy whipped mummies boys who cant iron, clean, cook and have never beeen away from mummy for more than 5 mins. These young bros or 30 y olds have been reaching out to be and ms or elder because the silly girls think that if he's spiritual he will look after them. How wrong many of these Girls have been. Ending up with a man who can barely look after himself she basicly takes over from mummy only she has to offer her wfely duties (boring missionary only unless he used to be in the world ) pregnant bored and stuck with a spiritusl but deadbeat man cleaning windows. The only experience he can bring to a relationship is whats written in magazines and books.
