Since leaving the org..what do you do with the time that you now have free?
by MoeJoJoJo inafter quitting meeting attendance, study for meetings and field service we gain alot of time.
i wasn't used to having that time to just do nothing and i've never been used to doing just nothing (relaxing and having time to stop and smell the roses).
so i joined the pto, my kids signed up for sports, i became a parent volunteer at the school, i became a coach and the list goes on.

I feel that anytime away from borg activities is like having Free time. Time to do what I choose to do or do things for the betterment of myself.
Sphere, I’m sorry for your situation. I can relate. But I’m glad I don’t have to sit thru another boring meeting which is a complete waste of time.
Calamityjane and Outnfree, its great actually being able to spend time with the kids and watch them have some fun.
Goofy, I absolutely agree with you on the preparing talks thing.
Freeman, I wish your wife could share that time with you.
Cruzanheart summed it up well, when she said
“ But it's happy busy, not have-to busy.”
When the weather is nicer, I think I'll kick back on my front porch and wave to the witnesses as they pass by on their way to the meetings. Most everyone in my old cong. has to pass by my house on their way. Do you think they'll wave back?
Thanks to everyone for sharing. I enjoyed reading all of your responses.

feel free to comment or add covers of your own to this thread!

Feng Shui, anyone?
by MoeJoJoJo ini've been reading a little, its interesting.
i can see how keeping clutter out of your home & using certain colors on the walls can reduce stress in your life.
i don't quite understand the whole windchime thing.

manon, I'm still trying to figure it all out, I need to map out my house still so I haven't done much, I have a few crystals and a fountain. I still need to read more.
I'm missing a chunk out of my southeastern corner because of the shape of the house, I believe that's the direction that has to do with money (income) so I need to do something about that.
Do you hang your windchimes by a window or door? I saw at Bed Bath & Beyond some tabletop windchimes, there is a little fan built-in, and the chimes make a nice sound. I might have to get one.

So I joined the PTO, my kids signed up for sports, I became a parent volunteer at the school, I became a coach and the list goes on. I enjoy all of those things immensely but I started spreading myself out to thin again. Maybe part of the reason why is because I felt I wanted to make up for lost time.
Did or do you find yourself doing the same thing?
I'm trying not to get so involved in things now and just sit back a little and enjoy life and just having time on my hands.

Hi robyn, sometimes I dream that I'm back at the KH and I am supposed to give a theocratic school talk that night that I didn't prepare for. I really hated giving talks, I hated that more than going out in field service. I don't remember my dreams as vividly as you remembered yours.

Posters that make an impact
by JH in.
.
what posters do you like the most on this forum and why?.

MoeJoJoJo
lol Joanna, you are too funny
Everyone's posts have all worked together to make an impact on my life. I have read so many stories of what the watchtower has done to people's lives. Also, I've seen proof of the Watchtower's deception and lies in many, many threads on this forum. And I like the fact that noone dances for anyone here and people here are real , that's its okay to be your own self and that you can express yourself & how to accept others viewpoints as their own. I've learned so much about people, life, its really been a wakeup call.
I'm grateful.
