  Fibromyalgia..........................

  so do any of you have it or any info on it????.

  just to add to my regular cronic back pain that i live with, i now have been diagnosed with full blown fibromyalgia.

  i am looking for all the info i can get, as the doctors answers are more pills....i am sick to death with pills now!!!!!!!!!!!

  Old Timer Field Service Nazis

  growing up a dub in the '70's & '80's, every congo seemed to have an old timer witness who was always looking to pick a fight at the door with the householder.

  whether it was arguing about how many go to heaven, the trinity, or the existance of a firey hell, this witness of jah had to have the last word before the door slammed in his face.

  being a kid at the time, it was both frightening and entertaining working with this bro.

  Growing up a dub in the '70's & '80's, every congo seemed to have an old timer witness who was always looking to pick a fight at the door with the householder. Whether it was arguing about how many go to heaven, the trinity, or the existance of a firey hell, this witness of Jah had to have the last word before the door slammed in his face. Being a kid at the time, it was both frightening and entertaining working with this Bro. in the field.

  Dead Child In The Hot Car

  someone left an 8 month old in a van all day..the day care worker forgot the little boy was there and didn't discover him until he went to go pick up kids from school... child found dead in vehicle .

  This very type of incident happened just yesterday to my wifes work mate, only the little girl survived. The mother was leaving for work around 9:00AM and had just put her 3 year old in the car seat and was walking around to the other side of the vehicle to put in her older sister. As she was going around the little girl kicked the automatic lock with her foot locking the doors with the keys in the ignition.

  This little girl was locked in that car for a total of 1 hour and 10 minutes, while local cops (who arrived in about 20 minutes) stood around as the little girl went unconscious, and told the frantic mother its best not to smash the glass as it might send glass flying and cut her face. (What the Hell!!) For heavens sake the girl was dying and I believe a little shattered glass would be in order to get the kid out! IDIOTS!!

  They finally sent for the locksmith who was called after the cops arrived and was told initially that it was just a lady who had locked her keys in the car! After someone else called him back and explained the gravity of the situation he immeadiately responded and hurried to the childs aid. When he arrived on the scene and discovered the unconcious girl, he ran from his vehicle, pryed the door open with a crowbar and freed the child.

  It is truly amazing that the girl survived after all the chain of screw-ups

  I got an e-mail for a long-lost dub friend

  there is this woman i used to correspond with back in my dub days but lost contact with several years ago.

  anyway just the other day she sent me an e-mail out of the blue.. she wanted to know if i was "in" or "out" as she was planning a trip to australia and if i was still "in" possibly we could meet (obviously i would have to travel to oz).

  she had heard i wasn't going to the meetings any more.. i replied that i was definitely not "in" any longer but that i wasn't da'd or df'd and if she wanted to read my story i provided her a link to my story on this site.

  I received a phone call about a month ago from a former childhood so-called friend. We had known each other since I was 7 years old and were close associates growing up in our congo. I have been inactive for about 15 years and we have not seen each other in as many years as we live in different states.

  Last year after reading COC and confirming what I had felt and suspected for years, I deceided to make the slow drift and leave. Meanwhile, he has been an elder and presiding overseer for quite a few years now and he usually manages to call about every 5 years.

  I guess he felt it was time for my 5 year harrassing as he had left a message on my machine for me to return his call.(Which he said was a coincedence that he had opened up to may name on the rolodex as if by DIVINE INSPIRATION, who was I to question?) So l figured what the heck I'd give him a ring. He said he wanted to cut straight to the point and ask me why I had not been attending meetings?

  I tried not to get into specifics but his gestapo training as an elder kept him relentless in his persuit for my reason for leaving the "troot"TM so I preceedeed to let him have both barrels and ran down a list of things I had learned. He proceeded to tell me it was obvious I no longer had the right heart condition and that my research was flawed.

  Its true they have one liners for every occasion and his was, "Put the guy's in Brooklyn on the back burner, no matter what, TRUTH IS TRUTH". This was his comeback to every arguement I presented, so he preceeded to go into his bag of guilt trips telling me that me and my family will surely die, I thanked him for the judgement and death sentence.

  The conversation ended by him saying that our friendship (We have not been friends since high school, and even then we were not close.) must now change, and how he had once loved and cared for me (You could feel the love in his monotone voice inflections, I told him he had lots of practice being an elder and all.)

  It took me about a week to recover from all the crap that was spewing forth from his mouth, but I don't expect I'll be hearing from him anytime soon, and I don't think I really give a rats sphincter.

  I must beg to differ on # 1 in the "Things Children Have Learned". I am proud to announce that all of our farm cats were successfully baptised in a wash tub by my brother and I when we were kids. I don't know whether they had the heavenly hope or earthly hope.

  Tales of the ANNOINTED

  i met my last "annointed" in 1992, her name was dawson & lived in a small town in the middle of nebraska.. her grandson, a funny, but wild & heavy drinking dub, introduced us & they spent the night at our house.. she was a life long dub & we could see she was a real mental case.. my wife & i kept the door to our room locked & they left early in the morning without saying a word.. she had long straggly white hair & eyes that could turn you to stone.. her grandson told us that one night, under a full moon, she was seen chasing a chicken, hatchet in hand, in her nightgown.. i was told later that she had lost a child to cancer & i felt bad for her, maybe if she had not been raised a dub, she would have received some professional help.. that was just one of many nutty things that helped me see the wt for what it was, a goofy cult!.

  We knew an annointed couple in Illinois who ran a music studio. They had worked with various Hollywierd movie stars such as Dick Van Dyke and such. Anyway, they had a sign outside of the studio that advertised the types of music they teach and it listed "church" as a class, and it was not the kingdom melodies.

  My dad, who was an elder at the time, sat on commitee meetings with this annointed bro. When they would have some young sisters in on the carpet for shall we say "loose conduct" bro annointed would get his jollies by asking the most intimate questions wanting every detail of whatever sex was involved.

  just curious: did any of you ever deface your magazines?

  i had a friend growing up in the congregation and, kids that we were, we'd snap up our new watchtowers and awakes and we'd draw our own captions for the pictures, usually with hilarious results.

  You bet!! Back in the '70's my brother and my best friend at the hall used to make captions and doctor the pictures. We would get to laughing so hard we would have to get up and go to the bathroom to regain our composure. We would get the looks that kill from some of the ministerial servants. We actually had a running series in the watchtower mag every sunday featuring "Lucy Todd" the young witness lad.
