last night we had a hell of a storm here.
there was thunder, lightning, pouring rain and wind.
personally i love stormy nights, cuddled up to hubby in a warm bed.
In always hoped for the rain, snow storms you name it I hoped hard for them as I really hated Saturdays, I had a very hard shedual at work and was very tierd from my week saturday mornings, my ex-wife was one of those fanatical dubs that couldn't miss any field service...

i find myself finally becoming accustomed to the fact that i am single again.
i am no longer thinking in couple terms and i now cook to please only me.
it's fun and scary all at the same time.
Well as for me I've been divorced 8 months from a almost 9 years marriage (she is still in the borg) and I only get to see my two boys every second weekend, but I started to look again recently as I would like to meet that special person, life as single is great most of the time but I do miss cuddling up with someone of the opposite sex, I miss the warm company.

Well I would say its better to love then not have, I lost my great love, and I still suffer today the pain associated to it but I enjoyed the good times I had with my ex-wife and these I will remember for the rest of my life. So its better to have loved then not....

mouthy said she is finding it hard to keep up so am i. sometimes you need to go back half a dozen pages to see if there was a response to a post.. i wonder, however, if this isn't because people don't choose which section of the forum to post on, they just submit a new post under "active topics" instead of friends , doctrine, blood and medical, humor, adult, or whatever.. you need to get in real quick.
It is more busy and its harder to keep up, I like that as it makes my long nights at work pass faster with all the interesting reading....

ok, i have been 'out' for about 9 years, now.
in all that time i have lived in 4 different states.
i have only had two visits from jw's during that time and both times they were from spanish congregations...the first time because my boyfriend at the time was mexican-american and someone told them we spoke spanish...the second time because my next door neighbors spoke spanish and they came to my place accidentally.. at any rate, both times as soon as they found out we spoke english, they scurried away and apologized for bothering us.
Never my ex-wife gave them my adress so that I can be put on the list of people not to visit, I guess that they are afraid that I will corrupt them.

i have a few i've known for years.
None whatsoever they avoid me like I'm a leper, its very sad as I liked these people alot. I guess they were not my real friends.
when you look back at it, what irked you most about being a jw?
Having all decided for you by the watchtower, you gotta do this not do that etc.... And the door to door of course....
