If a citizen sees something that just doesn't look right he/she is duty bound to notify authorities.
Called in a drunk driver before, the guy was bouncing off both medians across 2 lanes of traffic, did I see a cop once, the entire time I was following, nope. In fact to date, every drunk driver I've called his has, yet to have been pulled over. Cops never seem to be there, when there actually is something going down.
Lets face it folks, money flying from a car just doesn't look right.
Let's face the facts, there were no reports of any robbery's in the area.
Watching the film, I would have shot the mut too.
God forbid, you'd actually use your brain, and prevented the dog getting out in the first place, but then again, you don't strike me as being very intelligent anyways.

Trauma,
Your little diatribe shows you have no basis for your arguement other than pure hate of all authority. Not suprising, many XJW's suffer from this same symptom. I'm just glad I don't have to live in your world, or your head. The LEFT COAST isn't the real world, in the real world people recognize the fact that the police can stop you based on suspicion.
The cop felt threatened by the dog, he shot it, GET OVER IT!
And yes this "freak" is protecting the constitution as oppossed to running it into the ground like you seem prepared to do.
Wow I never said I hate Authority, just authority abused, as was the case here. Not suprising, a stanch christian, could support killing an innocent animal, that's what christians are good at doing, killing things. Sure they can stop you on suspicion, but they better be willing to pay the consquences, when they are wrong. Let me tell you another thing that happened, road block for DUI's was deemed un-constitutional here. You know why? Because you can't simply pull everyone over! Have you heard of unreasonable search and seizure? These cops are morons, they could have left the dog in the car, and called someone that can deal with animals, they don't have to right to shoot everyone, just because. They were the ones stupid enough to open the door, and let the dog out, even while the owner was asking to control the dog. These cops are morons pure and simple. It doesn't take a genius to come up with a better solution, but all high and mighty Yeru, thinks everyone should be shot first, and asked questions later.

OK, I'll jump in on the side of the cops on this one since everyone else seems ready to linch them. Having myself been bitten by "a playful dog wagging it's tail" the cops can and are justified in shooting the mut regardless of the breed. And no TRAUMA HOUND this was not a case of "illegal detainment" the family was stopped and detained in an investigation until things could be sorted out. Again, this is a case of liberals shouting about the "police state." Perhaps no one should be arrested unless they're caught in the act of committing a crime by the police, huh?
Yes it is a case of unlawful detainment, there was no store reported robbed, if the cops can get nailed in the City of Seattle, for unlawful detainment, while they held a guy for jay walking to run his id, then this is obviously unlawful detainment. Liberals? Is that all your capable of saying? Nobody agrees with poor Yeru, you shout they're a liberal, when in fact it's you liberal boy that thinks priests should be able to hide confessions of pedophiles. And this freak is "protecting" our constitution? LOL

Hmm why the hell couldn't the officer use pepper spray? What you all forget is the officers were in the wrong, the minute they pulled this family over. The family did no crime, they weren't speeding, the guy simply left his wallet on his roof. If the cops are going to be this jumpy, then they don't need to carry guns. I've had to actually face down aggresive dogs, when I was twelve, I had no gun, I managed to survive, using my brains. I think pepper spray would have done a great deal. I know someone with a bulldog-boxer mix, the dog is hyper, not aggresive, it just wants to be petted. Even if it was aggresive, there were alternatives to killing it, because it was doing what comes naturally to dogs, when they precieve, your attacking they're owner. If you had done the same thing to me, my corgi would have come after you, while I was growing up.

This is how I heard it on the news, someone called 911, reported money flowing out from a car, dispatch was the one that assumed it was a robbery, and told the police that, also the dog was not a pit bull, but a bull dog-boxer mix, big difference. Here's what should happen, since it was obviously unlawful detainment, nevermind the lawsuits, at least someone should get fired. Nice ending to a vacation for this family.

Yeru2: I now don't expect you to get it, your not smart enough to follow a simple rule, about not having multiple accounts, must be nice being able to post twice as many messages than, anybody else on here. It's really simple, and you still don't get it, f*&^ your religion, it's not above following mans laws. If you can't deal with that, move to another country. Priest's are not above the law, and it's high time, they pay the consiquences like everyone else. If your are indeed a chaplin, I see you can't even follow the simple rules on this board.

So do you agree with the way the WTS has handled molestation cases? Because that's exactly what they did. BTW you sound pretty liberal to me.
