i see the same thing happening here that happened on another site a couple of years ago.
all of this complaing about moderation.
i just can't believe it.. think of it this way.

I probibly wouldn't say anything and sum it up to the way they were brought up, and laugh about it later, and not let it bother me. I may try to be kind and maybe let them see what they are doing, but I certaintly wouldn't tell them to do my bidding or get the fuck out.

There is no law against putting your face into a plate of food and sucking it in making loud noises as you do so. (At least not in this state.) Yet, do you need to instruct your dinner guests in writing before serving a meal that this sort of thing is disgusting to the rest of the diners and will not be tolerated?
Actually I had a vietanamese co-worker that did exactly that, we shared an office, there was nothing I could do, different cultures act different ways, so your saying it's ok to force your ideas on someone else, like the Jehovahs Witnesses did with all of you?

Trauma,You have 150 posts on this forum. Can you not accpet that you may have missed some of these 'rules'. Others have suggested that you look through the 'Announcements' section on the Board run by the Administrator, you do not seem to have bothered doing this. This is where Simon's preference for Board ettiquette is highlighted in detail.
Here are a few links :
So someone new is supposed to try to find these hidden messages spread through out the forums, give me a damn break, it's goddamn simple, would take 50 seconds in html to create a general terms of service, not 50 vague fucking messages spread all over the place. Get a grip.

Actually this is the first place I've been to, that doesn't have a Term of Service so again the norm is to post rules when you sign up, that is the norm, this is the exception, and deficating on my carpet is against the law, so yes it is written down in a book. Molesting children is against the law, so yes it is written down. Simon has said you shouldnt use curse words, well maybe it's ok in some contexts, that's vague, it leaves it up to the whims of the moderators. Here we go since there is no terms of service.

Think of it this way. Each of you have rules in your home that you expect people to visit to follow. If they don't follow those rules, you kindly ask them to leave your home.
Simon has been more than hospitable. Just look at how we have been acting in his house. We have disreguarded his rules and some have even demanded that he thow out the rules. If I were Simon, I would have shown a few of you the door by now, and believe me, I can take a lot of crap before it gets that far.
Bottom line. If you don't like the rules..........Don't let the door hit ya where the good Lord split ya. BUT..........don't try to do as you did when you brought down the other site and take everyone else along with you. You know know that's what you are trying to do.
Shari
I would post a sign with those rules, however there isn't one here, and so everything is interperted by the moderators personal whims, I know I've been a victim of this, again your statement is just plain stupid, without the posters there would be no board period, end of statement.
this weekend i'm going to dc for the reparation march.
i know this is an highly volatile subject for some so i'm not even going to ask for opinions.
but, for the record here's my stand - i'm for reparations based on principle.
Oh bullsh*t!!!!!Iis so easy to say that you are not affected, because you are able to reap the benefits of being white without even realizing.
It is quite a funny thing that there are so many more people of color incarcerated, ever stopped to ask yourself why? They cant afford lawyers, they are pulled over more often, they dont get the put on the back and let off as easy BECAUSE of the color of their skin? Have you ever looked at the penalities for drug possession, and compared them to, I dunno, rich fat bastards running off with peoples retirements? I bet you have never been followed when you shopped at the mall for baby clothes, or told that you would have polka-dotted babies if you have a mixed baby. (I have!)
So what if your people did not get here until after slavery, you still benefit from the good ole boy's club because of your color. The fact that you cannot even acknowledge that there is privelege based on color in this country proves how well entrenched it is.
Really now? Actually I have been followed, I've also been pulled over, and had a gun shoved in my face, no as a matter of fact I didn't benifit. I grew up pore. Ya I've had the privilage of not getting a job, where I had more qaulifications then the other person, because they were a minority. Don't get me wrong I don't hate any race, however I've also been told "Why aren't you with your own kind?" while walking down the street with my black girlfriend on my arm, by a black man. Racism runs on both sides of the tracks. I've had plenty of racist remarks thrown at me by black folks, it's wrong no matter who's doing it. My ancestors were Irish potato farmers, they didn't own slaves, plus I have a little native american in me, I think holding people accountable for what they're ancestors did, is racism in itself, you should only hold a person to what they do, not what someone else did.
it is encoded in windows media format, will have larger mpeg later on, it's about 8 megabytes in size.
