Ack, that's pretty cold hearted, maybe she/he should have said "Well brother, are you saying jehovah cares more about a suite or us eating?"

Did you experience favouritism at meetings?
by haujobbz in.
as former jw i did witness favouritism towards elders and circuit overseers and also noticed how low status j-dubs actually lined up to speak to the circuit/overseers wife.even outside association seemed to be confined to say elders associating with elders etc.
i remember when even a sister gave a glass of water to a coughing circuit.overseer but i noticed she never did this to others in the hall.. then for instance how many at the hall formed groupies after meetings not making any effort to gell with others,i felt so sorry for those just sitting on there own.. so why do they act like this, it beats me because a lot of literature and talks focused on not being impartial to others, were they really taking it in or was it a question of congregation status or favouritism towards others.. also outside the meetings association didnt seem to exist and only confined to a certain favoured individuals.

WHY Society banned smoking
by Jigrigger inin a recent post by rado, he mentions a report on religious violence in georgia.
".....they filled the baptismal pool with diesel fuel.".
so i figured this probably happened once before, a long time ago, and was the reason for the ban on smoking.

Actually the ban happened before the Warning Labels, not that cigarettes are good for you, I'm a smoker know they're bad, but we should have the freedom to choose what we do, and not have some group trying to cram it down our throats. I actually know a JW from poland that still smokes, he hides it, was over at my parents house, and they know he smokes, they probibly won't say anything about it, not in my parents nature to go tattling on someone like that. And he wasn't shunning my sister or her husband either, both DFed, had some long discussions with him, he's still programmed to think like a JW though it's sad.

Ya I noticed this alot, when I was about 16 I was shipped off to my grandparents in Arizona, my grandfather being elder, I was treated differently because I was an elders grandson, but it was all good, when they really got to know me. *evil grin*

If you worry about getting kicked off then maybe you'll think twice about doing something ignorant or stupid.
And what exactly is that huh? Tell us? Since people get deactivated inconsistantly, I'm waiting to get re-deactivated. It's funny I have yet to cus in one of my posts.

Nothing has been proven at all Trauma_Hound !
That wasn't to you simon, that was to Larc.
have already explained quite clearly in a separate post why you were deactivated and why you were then reactivated.
So basically you shut me up, for having a different opionion. Simon there are lot's of people on here that get away with breaking your "rules". I broke no rules, in fact at the beginning I repeadity asked why a post I made was deleted, your MODERATORS ignored me, I got attacked for asking why basically, and you do NOTHING about that, even though it breaks your OWN rules.

Ok Simon, please find a post from me that actually broke any of your rules, I feel what you did to me was unfair, considering the various other people on this board that have attacked me and other people, and nothing being done about them. Please show me a post? I know I was only deactivated for an hour or so, but still, did I really break your rules, you set out? Or did I just annoy you with a post? I think in all fairness, there are other people that cause alot more havoc.
