it has been a long 8 months since the trial, but we are keeping our fingers crossed that she makes the right decision when it comes to protecting the children (and myself) from the wrongs of the society.
we have not heard yet if she needs more time, so friday is the end of her extension.

What ever happens today, I want to send out a special thanks to all who have over the past 5 years supported and encouraged me. A special thanks to Warren, scully and mouthy, who all called me last night to keep my spirits up. It is only 9 am so I still have not heard. I will post again tonight, hopefully we will have an answer by then.

To all who have been following my lawsuit against the society here in Canada, the judge is to make her Decision this week. It has been a long 8 months since the trial, but we are keeping our fingers crossed that she makes the right decision when it comes to protecting the children (and myself) from the wrongs of the society. We have not heard yet if she needs more time, so Friday is the end of her extension. I could not sleep last night, and Iam very nervous, as its been a long 5 year battle. For those that have not followed my case, there are still alot of news paper articles on google search under "victoria boer" "vicky boer" and "vicki Boer" .(my name was spelled different in all the papers)(it should be "vicki Boer") I pray that the society is made responsible at least in some part for what they did, so this terrible cycle of "cover up" stops. No more blaming the victim!!! We all need to do a chain Prayer this week. Send out good vibes to the judge. Thanks , and I will keep you posted.

Well this is all news to me! Glad all the jw's heard the outcome of "my trial" before the actual planitiff. Another effort to scare me as I see it. As for them soliciting money to help the lawyers fee's, makes me sick. I have not heard this , but Iam not surprised. Make the members pay again for their mistakes. Makes you wonder at what point the jw members will say "enough is enough", and let the elders and bethel pay themselves. Ok, so yes now Iam freaked. ARE YOU HAPPY !!!!

I know its not the halls address because the kingdom Hall in not on Marie street. I would guess it is the elders house, the elder Iam sueing, that lives on Marie street. Wouldn't that be a kicker for him. So send all the mail you like. Iam sure he will appreciate it!LOL They need to see the errors of their ways.

Thanks for the post. Hi Eric! and all those that supported me during the trial. The Judge said she will be giving her decision by means of letter, so we will not be meeting at the courtroom to hear her decision. She has until May 31, so it could be any day. Every time the phone rings, I think it could be my lawyer with the judges decision. In some ways I wish it was in court so that I could have some support. My husband is in the military, and will most likely be away when the decision comes down. Iam scared. We have so much on the line. It really makes me sad when I hear what they are saying at the meetings. THese are people that I grew up with. Its just so hard to believe that they could feel so much anger at me for exsposing a "real horror", as they word it. They say its about the money. My husband makes good money, so why would I give all that up to fight this battle if it wasn't the truth. They have unlimited funds, and the elders will not have to pay out of their pocket, as I have had to do. Well............keep up the great support you give to everyone on this website. We all need to be a family. Some of us have nothing else. Thanks........vic
if anyone has access to letters sent to bodies of elders in the united states last year, i need your help.
there was a letter read to the congregation shortly after the dateline expose on child abuse.
but, at the same time, the society also sent a letter to the elders only stating that if anyone in the congregation reported abuse that they should not be sanctioned.

I have the 7 page letter here at my house. It was kind of funny because this letter has been sitting on my end table for 4 months now. Not sure why I never put it away. My brother gave me the book for christmas. It is a very interesting read. She has alot to say about family relationships, love, death and more. I think alot of it makes sense. She talks about jesus, and god and angels. Most of her book is what I have always felt in when I was a jw. She talks about a god of love not a burning hell fire. She talks about our purpose here on the earth, and how we have charted our own course in life, to learn for our mistakes. Some of us choose to learn, some of us choose to ignore our course. Anyway, pyschic or not, there is truth to what she says, and it brings a sense of meaning and calm to my life.

so, the catholic church is using sleaze ball lawyers to try to weasel out of child molester lawsuits.. (they were asking for it/blame the victim defense).
on the other hand, liberty magazine (jan/feb 2003) says "to it's credit, the catholic church appears to have cooperated.
in mediation, when possible".
Believe me, I know what its all about. Its amazing what the publishers will believe! Look at the Holly and Heather Berry case. 100 jw's at the trial to support the sick dad! Even though he was convicted of abuse.
At my trial, alot of jw's showed up to support the elders and my dad who tried to keep me quiet. Even after they heard the testimony, and probubly realized the damage they did, still no appology.
They were given chances to settle. At my second pretrial, the judge tried to get them to settle, but they refused and laughed at me in my face as I walked crying down the hall.
They elders in my old congregation pray every day at the jw meetings that they win, and that the evil people in the world(me,vicki) will soon come to an end. They pray in front of the congregation, and tell them they will fight it all the way to the supreme court. They make me sound like the devil himself. I have a few people who actually care about me in the congregation who tell me these things. It makes them sick that all of this is being said about me. They know the truth.
Anyway, I think its funny that the jw's talk down about the catholics and laughed about their problems in courts, and here they sit in the same situation. HA!
If only they had learned from the catholics.
