since im a vet tech i love all animals, especially the cute grey tiger kitten we adopted this weekend named anyanka. but my two favorites are primates, and rodents. i have had so many pet rats they are an amazing animal if you give them a chance!

My wife is going to church!

because of my connection with the jws, i have also become interested in learning about other religions. not to join them but to learn about them. so anyway i like to read about mormons also, so i found a site kinda like this called ldstalk.com then click on the message board link. whats different about this site is that mormons and ex-mormons openly debate their religion, and can openly voice their opinions. they even have a thread started about jws if anyone is curious what mormons and ex mormons think about jws! its pretty active but not nearly as much as this one is. anyway thought other people might be nosy like me. you dont have to register, i am not, you can just lurk. also does anyone know of any only jw message boards that i can look at? thanks in advance.

well i will admit it if noone else will, i was scared this morning! of course i have lived in ny all my life and it is the first earthquake i have ever experienced. my sister has lived in japan and california (marine life) and has been through much bigger earthquakes. but i was scared!!!!

I think lotus maybe summed up his situation in a "nutshell" maybe a good counselor could sit him down and help him out of his illusions. one of the many things i never understood about the jw religions is the point of the annointed. if jehovah and jesus love us and want us with them why are they only taking such a small number of the people they created? i mean if you take that number and compare it to all the people of all time thats like a piece of sand on the beach. so what does that say about the rest of us? i guess we just stink!! we should go to earth and do gardening for a thousand years to pay for our stupidity, at least that was the way i was taught in my studies. she said for the earthly hope we would be cleaning up the earth for a thousand years and teaching. so what are the annointed doing? eating bonbons and girl scout cookies? count me in! well anyway sorry for the rambling, its late and my eyes are closing on me.

Im not a jw, i was on this board a while ago as morrigan, we have gotten a new computer and all that stuff. so anyway if any of you remember, which im sure you wont but thats ok, I was studying with some relatives of mine who are jw to try to help my cousins. heres the story. my cousin died like four years ago, her parents are jw, she was df when she was 18 or 19 because she got pregnant before her wedding. so she had two kids, and her husband took off, my parents and my grandparents helped her and the kids alot for most of this time, cause her parents wouldnt have anything to do with her. I idolized her, was at her place all the time and loved her two kids. so she got breast cancer and then her parents come around, act all nice.they take her into their home and help her. i dont know anything about the religion at this point, never understood why everyone was fighting all the time. so when my cousin died, her children were adopted by her grandparents, my aunt and uncle. under the condition that they would not be raised as jws. now for the next four years contact with them is VERY limited, like i see them at weddings and funerals, phone calls not returned, nobody answers the door when you knock, that kinda thing. meanwhile my life treads on, meet my husband get married, have a baby. after i had my monkey i tried bringing him over, they let me over once, that was it. (oh i call my son monkey, he is a toddler now so all you parents will understand why) decided to try to see what i could do to help the kids, recconect with family. found out the only way to do that was to show some intrest in their religion. after many studies, my relatives started to trust that i was starting to believe the "truth" and started telling me stuff about how bad my cousin was, how they had to ask permission to help her when she was dying, how her children are studying everyday and LOVE jehovah. now im pretty tolerant of most things but i just couldnt take it anymore after a few more months of being nagged to go to meetings and stuff, i just stopped. I talked to my husband about it, hope that the kids know that our house is always open but think maybe it is a lost cause. now im staying on this website to learn more and keep informed so if they ever actually do come to us we can tell them our version of the "truth".well i have rambled on long enough, will try posting more to keep up with things. thanks for listening.
