I know somebody who was at a RC that was tied into the Cowboy's stadium. They said Gerrit Losch was present at that international convention. I'll ask them if he mentioned the same letter at the concluding talk.

Everyone from my area is supposed to have a 3 day supply of emergency provisions. The elders periodically ask if our address and cell phone numbers are still current for this reason.
I wonder if those in NY don't need an emergency supply for some reason. Do they have a special provider we don't know about?

When he mentioned the letter it didn't seem very formal as an experience part. It was a short comment out of the blue which fit nicely with the theme about not being anxious.
The concerned letter seemed to be on his mind for some reason. Maybe he felt quilty for not heading the warning.

GB member Anthony Morris mentioned a letter that was sent to bethel by a concerned JW fearing the GT. He mentioned it on the last Sunday talk. I always wondered if any letter sent to bethel ever reached GB eyes. I guess this proves they read some of them.
The person writing into bethel said that the HQ should be stock piling food because of the coming GT. Anthony said that was crazy because the person writing in doesn't have faith in God's providing power.
Are there any other letters that you know that reached GB eyes?

Something Big is Coming...
by notsurewheretogo inthe annual meeting of the governing body of jehovah's witnesses will be in october 2014.. .. in november 2013, just after the last one they published this now famous statement in the 15th of november 2013 watchtower page 16 paragraph 17 says:.
"at that time, the lifesaving direction that we receive from jehovahs organization may not appear practical from a human standpoint.
all of us must be ready to obey any instructions we may receive, whether these appear sound from a strategic or human standpoint or not.".

A few months ago the CO my area said in his talk that we haven't seen anything yet, with regard to all the changes going on in the org.
From other posters in the thread it seems all the CO's are saying the same thing. It must be in the outline they're given. The GB wouldn't dare leak out juicy 2014 annual meeting details to these CO's. They would tell their wives and the wives would gossip because it's too big to bear. The cat would be out of the bag for sure.

You are so right about that statement in the foreword of Angels and Women. I understand where you’re coming from but I actually enjoyed the novel. I recommended it to a witness friend a number of years ago. Since I was so embarrassed by the foreword comments section I recommend them only read the Seola version.
Here’s something you may not know. I had a chance to see an original first edition version of Seola. Did you know the author was able to convince the publishing companies of the late 1800’s to keep her name out of the book? It was as if she wanted to remain anonymous or something. This is where I think this book ties into the old leadership of the WT. Rutherford or someone else liked this anonymous nature and thought it aligned well to how WT literature is not credited to individuals. No one person from the writing department is allowed to have their name in the book they worked on, with the exception of Russell and Rutherford.
Also, If you do a comparison of Seola to Angels and Women you get a glimpse of the major differences. As per the foreword of Angels and Women: Who was the one inspired by the fallen angel? Was it the reviser of the 1924 version or was it the original author of the 1878 version? Now that sounds really funny.

What point do you want to make connecting Herd to Angels and Women?
I'm curious because there are so many contradictions surrounding the novel Angels and Women. Is the work supported by the org or is it considered banned material? Many witnesses don't know about it. The few that know about it think it's just creepy and a smaller crowd think it's a great work of the imagination.
You're not going to mention the automatic writing claim are you?

Hey Data-dog. Since you're good at identifying pareidolia images in the WT magazines I want to know if you see the same image as I do in another watchtower magazine. My friends say they can barely see it but you might have an eye for it.

The Mormons are ready for the Armageddon event. The Church even has special stores that sell emergency supplies. After learning about Guy Pierce's former affiliation with the Mormons and the adoption of Family Worship Night I wonder why Armageddon preparedness wasn't hightlighted more. They did get the publishers of the congregations to fill out disaster contact forms. They also recomended getting emergency supplies to last 3 days. This idea became realistic due to natural disasters already happening around the world.

The girl who became pregnant was Shem's wife. Ham's brand new girlfriend was run over by a mob while being stuck in a trap. She missed the boat. Ham was ticked at Noah for not helping her.
