They believe the serpent had legs in the Watchtower June 1, 1964. Question from Readers.
They don't believe the serpent had legs in the Watchtower June 15, 2007. Question from Readers.
It all depends on who is in charge at the time.
often flicking through watchtower bound volumes i would see pictures of eden which shows the snake in the tree of knowledge with legs??
even the photo drama of creation shows a snake with legs.. watchtower 1964 p.352 "genisis 3;14 {snake}on your belly you will go and dust you shall eat...before god curse it the snake had legs, that elivated it above the ground...god transformed it's body so that it ceased to have legs and was able to move on it's belly.".
god's eternal purpose 1974 "god did not put a curse on the whole serpent family...it had only been victimized by satan.. forrest gump watchtower science is price-less!.

Both the Boa and Python share that vestigial rear limb gene. I saw a yellow python with some a long time ago at a public venue. The snake had large dual talons on either side of its body. They were rubbing up against the scales. It could move them at will. The talons looked like eagle claws.
i've been recently reinstated & am very happy about it.
i do love righteous (love & justice) and i do hate wickedness ( selfishness & sin).
i do love jehovah and the bible truths & wisdom.
Welcome to the forum TxNVSue2023. This may not be the best place to get encouragement on staying with the organization. Many of us come here to question the decisions of those in charge. At least you can express your opinion here without being sent to the back room.
I don't think they'll let you go out in service yet even though you have been reinstated, A baptized relative of mine became inactive for years. When she decided to come back to the meetings a pioneer had to study with her. They want to find out if you are a true believer again. They want to make sure you will be preaching correct truths.
dominic enyart exposes watchtower deception regarding their demonization of the cross.
information packed.
interesting take on paganism as well.
It all boils down to Matthew 24:30. What that sign is, only the heavens know.
i’m hearing paraphrasing like “we just don’t know” .
is this regarding 1914?
or micheal the arch angel?.
Thanks for posting that image of The Herald of the Morning DisgruntledFool.
Herald of the Morning-No1,Vol7
I did not know the 1914 date was predicted way back in 1878. It is interesting to see how Barbour divided the timeline into three worlds per 2 Peter's account. It would have been cool if he could have explained the three heavens that were parallel in 2 Peter as well.
1st heavens: fallen angels ruled in human form
2nd heavens: No one ruled. It was a free for all
3rd heavens: 144,000 ruled from heaven. Oops that wasn't invented yet. Barbour & Russell rule from heaven
does anyone remember seeing old watchtowers in their kingdom hall library before they destroyed them all, of the watchtower annoucing jehovah from pleiades kingdom.
i am 72 years old and i remeber seeing these old magazines somewhere..
This belief of Rutherford sounds like it was conceived from the fantasy novel Angels and Women published in 1924, which was based on an earlier novel entitled Seola in 1878. The WT had Seola refined to their liking and was then republished in 1924. Look at the difference between the two books with regard to the Great Center of which Rutherford was talking about, particularly the star Alcyone.
Angels and Women - 1924
Now notice in the original version of Seola we find out how many stars surround the Great Center. For some reason Rutherford wanted the seven stars not to be mentioned in the edited version. This definitely makes a connection to the Pleiades constellation.

Yes, the JW's in Hong Kong are on their own. Communist China will come down hard on the remaining flock. I wonder if the congregations there will experience the same problems that happened in Russia.
to all those on this students on this forum, i would love to know what your view is?.
Here's another question. How long was it from Adam's creation to the appearance of the serpent in the garden? There might be a formula that comes from this. One perfect man requires a smaller amount of years before testing but an entire civilization requires n times Pi divided by 360 plus 30 lunar moon revolutions times two solar eclipses.
a sister has snitched on me.
got a message from my group overseer requesting a little chat to see if i’m okay.
urgent suggestions needed please.
You need to play the depression card if you don't want to reveal your hand. If you really want to fade you need to play along as if you are still a believer. Don't tell your service overseer about any of the doubts you have been having about the organization. Just listen to your group overseer and agree with him, He will try to encourage you to come back to the meetings and be active again. Tell him you prefer to attend the meetings on zoom. You need to show up on zoom periodically so they can see your presence. They won't hound you if you show up on zoom at least. My hall has about 60 on zoom still. The congregation Elders have to treat the zoom people as believers too because the GB has approved that form of worship.
growing up as a jw in the 1960s and 1970s, a common refrain from the yearbook, local elders and circuit overseers was how jws were protected at meetings, conventions, and in the field service by "the angels".
experiences of "divine intervention" during service, ww2, in communist lands, and conventions were common.
the internet and google are regularly debunking this myth in the 21st century.
An elder from my hall a long time ago gave a talk about this very subject. He said no JW is guaranteed protection by God in this system of things. The only exception is if a person is directly related to his out working purpose. Then and only then will he use his supernatural powers to save them.
