I am going to be old school when I attend the memorial next weekend. No beard with full suit with a tie and a jacket. I might even wear the vest that matches my suit.I hope to be over dressed.

Rekindled Light — The Narrative Structure of the Hexaemeron (Genesis 1:1–31)
by Mebaqqer2 ini used to comment here many years ago when i had an interest in biblical research in relation to jehovah’s witnesses.
these days my biblical research is little concerned with jehovah’s witnesses.
i feel my time is better spent researching the diachronistic development of the biblical text and ascertaining what the biblical writers and editors intended in the times in which they lived.. i have recently placed a summary diagram for a paper that i have written with original research entitled the narrative structure of the hexaemeron on academia.edu.

I like how you divided the creation framework as if it is set up in a tabernacle arrangement with the most holy being meant to represent the entire cosmos itself. I believe the Genesis chapter one break up of of the creative days is too simple for the actual event that took place. There would have been thousands of different parts of the actual creation event. My feeling is that the six creative sections and a single rest day was made to fit over that period. I think there is something hidden as to why God sees seven as so important, not just as a rest day.
The apostle John did something similar with dividing up the miracles of Jesus. He only highlighted seven of them even though 37 is the actual count if you compare the other gospels.
I still need to look over your actual work when I get the chance. Thanks for sharing.

You could also look to the 120 year proclamation in Genesis 6 right before the flood. One could conclude that God sets dates for end times because he determined a countdown to the flood. The problem here is the interpretation of a countdown only comes from the legend of the Jews. See Luis Ginzberg's Legends of the Jews. The witnesses stick to the countdown belief. This makes date setting justified with the Org.
The two opposing interpretations of the 120 years in Genesis is a countdown to the flood or the reduction of the human lifespan. The births and deaths of the antediluvian people in Genesis compared to the generation of the post flood world did prove that the lifespans were decreased. The 120 years maximum could be a general rule and would have a margin of error but it definitely matches better than a countdown to the flood. Also of note is that the early part of Genesis records so many lifespans of people then later on the bible mentions only a few important ones. Abraham died at 175, Moses died at 120, Joshua died at 110, David died at 70. The lifespan settles down to around 70 to 80. Some today have been able to reach 122 but it is so rare.

How do JWs know that less than 150,000 Christians existed before the 20th Century?
by Vanderhoven7 inaccording to watchtower, only anointed christians existed between the first and 20th centuries.
the great crowd of other sheep only began forming after the 20th century started.. how do they support this conclusion?

Nobody is part of the 144,000 in revelation unless you are single and can master that special song, that includes most if not all of the JW's that ever existed. That song mastery detail is very cryptic, If I remember right the morning stars sang together when the created universe was completed as per Job. So maybe when one of these chosen ones dies they poof into a star in the Milkyway galaxy and start resonating.

Faithful Slave Appointment: What are the assumptions of Watchtower Matthew 24:45-47 Eschatology?
by Vanderhoven7 intext: matthew 24:45-47.
45 “who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom the master has put in charge of the servants in his household to give them their food at the proper time?
46 it will be good for that servant whose master finds him doing so when he returns.

Yeah, they need to remove the Norse god Hel from the king james bible where Sheol, Hades, Gehenna and Tartarus are placed. Just because they are part of the underworld doesn't mean they're the same thing. They are different words for a reason. It's like saying to, too and two are the same thing because they sound the same.

Wasn't it said in the literature that the Greek story of creation had a close resemblance with the bible when you use the books of Genesis and Peter for comparisons. I am referring to the fall of the titans being associated with the fallen angels of Genesis. Then Peter mentions their fate being the prison of Tartarus which is the same word used in the Greek story. It was a prison only for the gods.

What about that Apophis asteroid coming in 2029? I read it was going to get near where the satellites orbit. Can the world temporarily live without communication and GPS location tracking if it does some damage? If something does happen the org may use this as "signs from heaven" proof.

They believe the serpent had legs in the Watchtower June 1, 1964. Question from Readers.
They don't believe the serpent had legs in the Watchtower June 15, 2007. Question from Readers.
It all depends on who is in charge at the time.

Both the Boa and Python share that vestigial rear limb gene. I saw a yellow python with some a long time ago at a public venue. The snake had large dual talons on either side of its body. They were rubbing up against the scales. It could move them at will. The talons looked like eagle claws.

Welcome to the forum TxNVSue2023. This may not be the best place to get encouragement on staying with the organization. Many of us come here to question the decisions of those in charge. At least you can express your opinion here without being sent to the back room.
I don't think they'll let you go out in service yet even though you have been reinstated, A baptized relative of mine became inactive for years. When she decided to come back to the meetings a pioneer had to study with her. They want to find out if you are a true believer again. They want to make sure you will be preaching correct truths.
