Recently I had an issue with the WT understanding of the Stake/Cross physical characteristics. I found a number of bible verses that contradicted the WT view. After looking at jwfacts on the topic of the cross I can see the Org is wrong about that also. The object was more of a "T" than a "+". It was never a "I".

jwfacts.com Have you looked at it?
by blondie ini use this extensively rather than re-inventing the wheel.. paul grundy, the admin, keeps it up-to-date and welcomes any corrections or new information, especially in a well-written article, supported by wt publication quotes.. the 2 places i check first is www.jwfacts.com and then searching on jwn with key word(s) to see if the topic has been already extensively researched or commented on.. don't be frightened away by the material being more than 3 paragraphs.
the quotes from wt publications is are extensive and from publications that are older and less available.
i find it good to read many posts on a single topic and expand my knowledge and sources.. blondie.

How many heavens are their ? 1,2,3 ?,and how many if any have been discovered by Rocket Satellite probes ?
by smiddy3 inhow many heavens does the bible identify ?.
1,2,3,?.
the voyager satellites have now gone beyond our solar system in the year 2019 , taking off in the 1970`s and have never encountered one heaven of any sort in that journey ..

Rabbinical tradition says there are seven levels of heaven. The NT is the only place in the bible that mentions a third heaven and that's just one scripture. There is no mention of what is in the first heaven or the second heaven. Maybe voyager needs to go through six solar systems to find something interesting in the seventh.

“A Man Caught-up To … Paradise” (2 Corinthians 12:2-4)
by MADMARY in“a man caught-up to … paradise” (2 corinthians 12:2-4).
above, we cite the verses that speak of "a man," a certain "man in christ" in fact, yes hearing words .... ... "unutterable words" or as some translations say, "inexpressible," or "unspeakable" words...words which man "cannot say," words that are considered by some "unlawful" [or unscriptural] for a "christian" man to even speak.
"heretical" words, words of "apostasy,” or even possibly, "blasphemy" against god!

Funny you bring this up. I recently decoded the answer to the mystery on what Paul said regarding the Paradise and the Third heaven.
PM me if you want to know what Paul was really describing. I will not publicly disclose it because the answer is original.

Still dont get the friggin birthdays
by nowawake14 ini have read extensively about the origins of birthdays, and i still don't get it.
but it's not what it means today.. even wedding veils were used to ward off the "evil eye".
but it's not what it means today.

Everyone celebrated birthdays pre and post Flood. This included Noah and his family. The early chapters of Genesis mentions a number of men and how long they lived. With the longevity mentioned with these people in Genesis the birthday celebrations would help these families keep a record of how old they were after all that time.

I wouldn't add that. This is what we were taught by the WT, but almost all Christians of many different denominations will tell you just the opposite.
The New Covenant that JESUS offered wasn't with a religion, it was with individuals who may find themselves in any number of the tens of thousands of Christian groups around the world.
In fact, exclusivity is one of the prime identifying characteristics of a cult.
Good point Sea Breeze. Your comment reminded me of the scripture at Matthew 18:20, where Jesus said the following about Christian fellowship.
"For where two or three gather in my name, there I am with them."
He didn't say anything about having to be an organized brotherhood to be his followers.

That's a great letter.
Another thing I would add is that there are 1000's of different Christian denominations. All these sects claim to be the one true religion. The organization that is the truth will not have failed prophecies and it will have supernatural events to back it up. I don't know of any religion that can claim that today. Maybe there will be one in the future.
Hopefully your son will come to the conclusion at some future time that JW Org has no real power over him. Just as with the fantasy film called Labyrinth, the principle character named Sarah will eventually tell the Goblin King (David Bowie/JW Org) that he has no power over her.

Running Ahead of the Organization
by Sea Breeze inthat was a phrase that used to irritate me to no end.
good thing this woman wasn't a jw.
some people just can't wait.

John the baptist and Jesus went ahead of the "Organization" of their time. These two men were not products of the established Order. They were neither friends or family of the Leadership in Jerusalem. Same could be true today. Eric Wilson seems to be on that path farther ahead of JW.org.

The Memorial was Useless
by cookiemaster inso i just went to the kh here in romania yesterday, with my parents.
haven't been since the memorial.
during the weeks preceding the memorial, they went crazy with the invitations and 'preaching' work, to the point that they'd invite anyone and their grandmother.

Here in the states they fixed that empty hall look. Many congregations were merged to fill it up. Two congregations that averaged 70 now have 140 after the merge. Now it's hard to find seats. They are getting the Memorial look every week now. They won't be able to invite the public at the next Memorial because the house is already full.

Big thanks OnTheWayOut and joe134cd. I thought there was something wrong with my tablet.
I also thought it would have been mentioned here before as well. I guess I get to be the first in something on this board.
