An elder from my hall a long time ago gave a talk about this very subject. He said no JW is guaranteed protection by God in this system of things. The only exception is if a person is directly related to his out working purpose. Then and only then will he use his supernatural powers to save them.

the internet and google are regularly debunking this myth in the 21st century.

They compare the event to a marriage where you're just an observer and have no participation. I can understand that with a real marriage because all attention is on the physical bride and groom. It would make more sense if they put the anointed people on the stage and let us all see them eat the bread and drink the wine. At the end of the ceremony we would would want to hear the special utterances the holy spirit gave them that previous year. The prophets of old were not anonymous so let's see who's really writing the watchtower.

It looks like 537 BCE came up because he asked the Ai when the fall of Babylon took place, not Jerusalem. He confused the thing, which is easy. The fall of Babylon was 540 BCE per wikipedia which is close to 537 BCE,

They said at my midweek meeting that the broadcast you mentioned above will be shown to the congregations starting November 6th, on a Monday. November 23rd is near the end of the week which sounds strange to release it on a Thursday. That day is Thanksgiving. -

They read the announcement at the end of the meeting tonight. They strategically made the Secretary of the congregation the chairman of this midweek meeting. He read the letter last after mentioning other announcements. He also said if you use the printed slips for reporting then just put "yes" where it asks for hours spent in the ministry. The elder showed no emotion when reading the letter. It was hard to tell if he disapproved or if he liked the new direction. I couldn't tell of people reactions after the meeting because I watched it on zoom. There were 50 on zoom but I couldn't tell how many were on KHConf.

No one could learn the song except the 144,000 who had been redeemed from the earth.
If these 144,000 are to be taken as literal specially appointed people then what is the song they hear? Do they get knowledge of God's specific will through the music they hear, which would be a form of inspiration of old. I would really appreciate it if one the the claimed 144,000 would recite a command they recently received from this song.
You know what is interesting is that this mystical song of the 144,000 is presented in a similar form with the Jim Henson series, Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance. One primary character named Augra is trying to get answers to the chaos unfolding around her from the deity planet named Thra through inspiration but she can't. She says she has lost the song of Thra and that she must gain it back to understand what is going to happen to their world with the chaos created by the Skeksis.
