It's because of the new heavens and new earth prophecy. If all good people go to the new heavens after death then what's with the new earth that's repeated in the old and new testament?

Is Watchtower totally off base on Armageddon?
by Vanderhoven7 into me it is quite evident that the gt spoken about in matthew 24, mark 13 and luke 21 is a one time, non-repeatable localized event resulting in the destruction of jerusalem and the temple followed by the dispersion of surviving jews throughout the nations.. however, what is not so clear to most is that the gt of revelation deals with the same event.
my understanding is that the gb of jehovah witnesses has no clue as to how to interpret the apocalyptic messages found both in the synoptics and revelation.
but steve greg has armageddon down pat.

She should be thanking her west African genes for her win due to fast twitch muscle fibers, something that east Africans are lacking. I wonder why west Africans move faster than east Africans. Are there more predatory cats in the west than the east?

Alteration of Revelation 3:14 in the 4th century to support the emerging Trinity doctrine
by slimboyfat inin an earlier thread another poster asserted that there is no evidence that revelation 3:14 played a part in the 4th controversy that led to the trinity doctrine.
this was claimed as evidence that the description of jesus as “the beginning of the creation of god” in the verse was not understood to mean that jesus was god’s first creation.
the scholarly greek–english lexicon of the new testament & other early christian literature 3e (2001) by bauer, arndt, gingrich, and danker, in its latest edition states that “first creation” is indeed the probable meaning of the greek phrase.

Mathew 28 19. There is your three in a single verse and a pretty important one as well.
He said it this way because of the three items that were placed in the ark of the covenant.
1. The staff of Aaron, 2. The Ten Commandments, 3. The jar of manna.
1. The way. 2. The truth 3.The Life.
The curtain between the holy and the most holy was ripped in two at Jesus' death.
No one comes to the father except through Jesus.

How many verses do we have saying that the angels were created? I don’t know any but I’d be interested to find out.
I know of one only. It's about a cherub being created that eventually watches over the garden of Eden. A uniform made of multiple gemstones lined with gold was made for him on the day of his creation, His office duties also had him walk a path made with stones of fire.
Ezekiel 28:13-14
"...on the day you were created they were prepared."

I don't believe for one second that Christ began ruling as king in heaven in 1914. In the synoptic gospels he said he would be around the believers until the conclusion of the system of things. That means it would start after his resurrection to heaven. He said you couldn't find him anywhere on earth during this long time span. The only exception to is when he appeared once to commission Paul's ministry.
The real return of Jesus, when he drinks of the vine again, comes way in the future. This is when the kingdom of heavens descends onto earth, possibly around modern day Jerusalem. The synoptic gospels reveal a physical mark in orbit around earth indicating his return.

The real problem is that all of Islam is surrounding Israel. The moment you give Palestine statehood is the moment you provide the gun for shooting Israel right in the head. At least the way it is now the weapons are from afar.
Islam means to conquer the world because their one prophet believed violence was the answer. The day Islam or all Muslims start letting their followers convert to Christianity or any other religion without the death penalty is the day I will start fighting for Palestinian statehood.

Rekindled Light — The Narrative Structure of the Hexaemeron (Genesis 1:1–31)
by Mebaqqer2 ini used to comment here many years ago when i had an interest in biblical research in relation to jehovah’s witnesses.
these days my biblical research is little concerned with jehovah’s witnesses.
i feel my time is better spent researching the diachronistic development of the biblical text and ascertaining what the biblical writers and editors intended in the times in which they lived.. i have recently placed a summary diagram for a paper that i have written with original research entitled the narrative structure of the hexaemeron on academia.edu.

I like how you divided the creation framework as if it is set up in a tabernacle arrangement with the most holy being meant to represent the entire cosmos itself. I believe the Genesis chapter one break up of of the creative days is too simple for the actual event that took place. There would have been thousands of different parts of the actual creation event. My feeling is that the six creative sections and a single rest day was made to fit over that period. I think there is something hidden as to why God sees seven as so important, not just as a rest day.
The apostle John did something similar with dividing up the miracles of Jesus. He only highlighted seven of them even though 37 is the actual count if you compare the other gospels.
I still need to look over your actual work when I get the chance. Thanks for sharing.

You could also look to the 120 year proclamation in Genesis 6 right before the flood. One could conclude that God sets dates for end times because he determined a countdown to the flood. The problem here is the interpretation of a countdown only comes from the legend of the Jews. See Luis Ginzberg's Legends of the Jews. The witnesses stick to the countdown belief. This makes date setting justified with the Org.
The two opposing interpretations of the 120 years in Genesis is a countdown to the flood or the reduction of the human lifespan. The births and deaths of the antediluvian people in Genesis compared to the generation of the post flood world did prove that the lifespans were decreased. The 120 years maximum could be a general rule and would have a margin of error but it definitely matches better than a countdown to the flood. Also of note is that the early part of Genesis records so many lifespans of people then later on the bible mentions only a few important ones. Abraham died at 175, Moses died at 120, Joshua died at 110, David died at 70. The lifespan settles down to around 70 to 80. Some today have been able to reach 122 but it is so rare.
