Dumb ass family moved in next door with autistic kid JEHOOVER HELP!
by Witness 007 infirst off i have no problem with the kid......his mum though is a dumb sh#t country trash kinda gal, just moved in.
right now i'm in my bedroom being blasted by 80's music.
she put a stereo in her tin shed which is next to our bedrooms, so her autistic kid can play loud music...or should i say, same f#cking song over and over again.

It doesn't sound like the autistic kid is the problem, it sounds like the Mother is just being an inconsiderate neighbor. I would file a complaint with the police.
Oh yea...and I hate the R word too...

Maybe we are perfect?
by angel.face ini'm relatively 'new' to the concept of thinking for myself....coming to the conclusion that what i thought was 'the truth' simply isn't brought on many questions for me.... i find it hard to let go of the idea that there is a god, but at the same time i question his existence.. .
just a thought that i had today which i would like to share: .
taking into account the universe and the perfect harmony that exists within it... think about the human body... some of the perfect harmony that we see in the universe we can see in the functions of our bodies.

I think the JW view of perfection is ridiculous. I've often heard sisters talking about how they will be skinny again, with perfect hair, and perfect teeth. I mean really, does being skinny mean you have the perfect body? I'd prefer to stay curvy over skinny. Some men like skinny women, some like curvy, and some like bigger women. Just because we would be perfect in the new world, (not like it's gonna happen) I think everyone would have different looks as well as different abilities and interests. I think it's absurd to think that everyone is going to have six pack abs and be good at doing everything...this is often what you hear from JWs.

Things that made you cringe at "the meetings"
by i_drank_the_wine ini always cringed so hard when a "brother" or "sister" would make some overly heartfelt comment about jehovah-something, usually related to a personal experience of theirs, and get all teared up and/or start crying.. once this fringe dude that's been df'd twice now was giving a talk and kept having these long awkward pauses where he looked like he was real stressed out, then he would start up again, stutter, slip up, and repeat the process until he looked down and went "i, i just can't do this" and walked off the stage and left the hall.. it also made my spchincter pucker when a young person would give some super devotional comment on how much they love big j and whatnot, which would make the congregation all smile in their hearts and wag their heads in approval..
