The photo of the young lady is absolutely real (as is the brief footage of her in the fundraising video)

New Ex-JW Documentary To Be Released
by discreetslave inabout filmtruth be told is a feature length documentary that explores the lives of several individuals raised in the jehovahs witnesses religion.
the title of the film refers to the tendency by jehovahs witnesses to regard their beliefs exclusively as the truth.. the documentary is not an indictment of religion but rather a retrospective.

I'm in support of every project put out to show our stories in a fair light .
I understand your viewpoint Mad so does the director. He has successfully produced other films. http://www.imdb.com/name/nm2042405/bio so he already has some recognition outside our community and that helps get our stories out.
Who knows he could be a resource for the other films. It's us vs a corporation not in competition with each other.

The impact of Governing Body policy on higher education: read this!
by Terry inexcerpt:.
does your religion affect your income?by mari cockerell, ktxs newsabilene, texas -- the pew forum on religion and public life recently put out the results of a survey on wealth and religion in the united states.. you may be surprised to learn which religious groups in this country have the most and the least wealthy members.an infographic produced by the folks at www.good.is breaks down information gathered by the pew forum on religion and wealth.
it maps out distribution of income for the 14 major religious groups in this country, charting those whose income is less than $30,000 a year all the way up to $100,000+.. what they found is interesting.the religions whose members earn the most money are jews and hindus.

I've been speaking to the director. He's not out to shake up anything that's not his agenda.
It's to be cathartic for us ExJW's and educational for the outsiders who just don't get where we're coming from. -

I don't think we should label it apostate if we want it to have the same viewing in the JW community that "knocking" did.
Of course we know that's how WT views it.ABOUT FILM TRUTH BE TOLD is a feature length documentary that explores the lives of several individuals raised in the Jehovah’s Witnesses religion. The title of the film refers to the tendency by Jehovah’s Witnesses to regard their beliefs exclusively as ‘the truth’.
‘The documentary is not an indictment of religion but rather a retrospective. In a series of informal interviews, former Jehovah’s Witnesses discuss life experiences within the organization including the impact the religion had on their childhood and family, schooling, adolescence, and approaches to dating and marriage. The film also explores how being raised in that religion has shaped their spiritual beliefs and attitudes.’

There is no religious agenda. It's a prop. Does he need WT trying to sue him? Remember what they did to WTComments.org
I've been communicating with him. He was raised a JW and wants to get the story out. He's letting the stories allow the viewers form their own opinions about the WT and what it is like being raised a JW. -

What can I do when I feel i can't keep going....
by Free!! ini have been having an awful week/month/year/life and i just feel like i can not move forward anymore... is like life is passing me by and i am just observing from the side lines.... i am so tired, i just want to sleep and never wake up..... has anyone felt like this?
i tried therapy (twice) an it did not work, i tried volunteering and surrounding myself with other people and things to do, and it works until i have to come home, then that feeling of emptiness returns.... .
i am so tired... i do not know what else to do.... .

Reflecting on this article I told my JW husband if my children become JW's and they are ever df'd or they leave and he shuns them I will leave him.
How dare they talk about a lack of natural affection in the world when they are so cruel to their own family.

'Apostates' being labelled 'mentally diseased'. Is discrimination against mentally disabled people by using it as a 'hate crime' term?
by punkofnice insorry if i'm not expressing myself very well but i wasn't allowed an education due to wbt$ regulations.. what i'm trying to say is that the wbt$ using the term 'mentally diseased' as an insulting term against those fictitious 'apostates' they want everyone to 'hate', is surely very discriminatory against those that have a genuine mental illness.. it's like calling a white person that has caught a suntan the 'n' word isn't it?
offensive, inappropriate and utterly destructive.. in the uk the press can be pretty sensitive about such name calling that implies that mental disease is somehow to be used as a hate crime word.. is it worth writing to the press to complain about such discrimination?.

UNKY PUNK IS THE MAN
I think of all those in the congregations who have real issues, They are being caompared to people thay are taught are the scum of earth. Is it any wonder so many feel fleeced. I hate the WBT$ so much for the abuse they heap in those so loyal to them.
