i want to say thanks to those that have blazed the trail for others to become former jehovah's witnesses.. many were disfellowshipped or disassociated, some stopped going to meetings before "faders" existed.

many had no internet or any way of gathering with others who left the jw's.

later, the likes of randy watters and ray franz gave many a sense of a group conscience with their efforts and writings.

I can't find the right words to express the gratitiude I have for all who speak up. I was able to break free because of all the brave ones who went before me. I hate to think of the misery I would still be in if someone had not validated my feelings.

My heart goes out to the disfellowshipped who are sheepishly sitting in the back desiring an ounce of the fake love. They are so close to freedom. I want to pay it forward to honor those who went before me and the ones who will come after.

Are JW'S allowed to attend birthday parties or not?

In pioneer school 1996 the circuit overseer said a witness can't be disfellowshipped for attending or celebrating their birthday. They will be marked and considered bad association. He said birthdays is not the same as xmas. Xmas is part of false religion thus a disfellowshipping offense birthdays are a tradition with no direct religious ties.

One congregation CD is made of meetings, assemblies & DC to pass on to publishers who want to hear it. The publisher is to have it for a limited time I think it's 1 week and no copies are to be made. It is returned and passed on to the next person. After a limited time the CD is to be destroyed.

A ministerial servant who works the sound & an elders wife who's husband does sound @ assemblies told me this.
