Some JWs are exhibiting signs of violence because of WT hate speech. Read the threat to me and others posted at Topix yesterday
by AndersonsInfo inyesterday, i opened a topix account so i could post the information about watch tower representatives attending the political ocse meeting in poland for two weeks and the proof that they are an ngo.
one of the posters responded with these words: .
"barbs-info," eh?

Mass defection possible?
by stuckinamovement inthere are many of us who are trapped within the religion and are looking at leaving.
i was wondering..... if there was an organized and well publicized effort to leave the organization en-masse on a certain date yet to be determined, how many do you think would participate?.
one person leaves the org and it creates a small ripple.

I don't know the kool aid is strong. One thing is notable the last understanding is that when religion goes down they will be left alone. If they start to get attacked first they will have to come up with new light and another kool aid flavor. If nothing happens to the WBT$ in the next few years I may start to believe in the Freemason Illuminati Bildeberg connection & New World Order theories. I know they will never really disappear but they can't stay this strong and do nothing for the Gov't. It doesn't make sense. They rack up too much money to keep flying under the radar. France & Russia blew it and the exposure of child molestation was just a blip. When will someone or something finally be able to pin them on something.

There is one guy who noticed how ignorant the JW's are from their comments. He could see they are are oblivious to how journalism works.
Good job Talesin

Special day Last talk "No formula"
by MommieTiger inthis weekend at our special assembly day, let gods will take place the final talk was a head shaker.... the bethel speaker was quite entertaining when he joked @ the shortcomings of the elders.
he also made us laugh with the comment "we were told the end of the system is right around the corner, but we've found its been more than that, we've been around the blocks a few times.
" he told the young ones to make the truth their own by researching in the wtbts publication (only).

Well things got pretty rocky after my last update . We got into a number of arguments. As of this weekend we're on the mend. We didn't go away I'm planning on taking the trip without my husband. I feel I need to be in NYC for at least a week or more and his work makes that difficult. Plus going without him makes it possible to meetup with exJWs. I don't want to see him go off to a meeting anyway it'll just bum me out. NYC always renews me so I think it will be better without him. I can do some soul searching.
My college plans are postponed. I've decided to apply to other schools. Right now I don't want anything to do with the Bible other than to help wake a witness up or keep someone who wants to be a christian away from JW's. The college I was accepted to is a Christian university & right now my views are rapidly changing so a secular school would be better.
The changes occuring in me & my life are happening so fast. I feel like I can't keep up at times. Right after I left I was sure I didn't want to be exclusive to one religion but I still considered myself a Christian. Now I'm so turned off by the Bible. The homophobic views, the chauvinism, the bloodshed, not to mention all the horrible things done by religions who profess it's the word of God. I love people and variety so right now I think the Bible & I are no longer compatible. I like Jesus and the good principles found in it but that's about it. So that leaves me in limbo as to whether there is a God. I'm on the fence right now. Agnosticism seems to be a better fit for how I feel right now. This is so strange since March I went from JW othersheep to JW anointed to JW apostate & born again Christian to whatever I am now.

As A JW Were You Generally Feeling Guilty Over One Thing Or Another?
by minimus ini believe the witnesses keep people in the cult by means of using guilt as a tool.
it seems people who leave the religion tend to stop using meds and anti-depressants.
exjws seem more content and less filled with worry and guilt.. what do you think?.

This should be one of the baprism questions "Do you recognize that as one of Jehovah's Witnesses you will live a life riddled with guilt?"
Guilt over being jealous over positive experiences, guilt over feeling I hate reading or listening to how wonderful everyone else is, guilt over wanting to stay in from service, guilt over thibking the meeting was so boring, guilt over wanting oral sex from your husband, guilt over exercising instead of reading my magazine, guilt over being upset with a sister even though she accused you of being a racist towards prople of your own race,it goes on & on. As a parent you find yourself saying things to your child to induce guilt.
