To the Joeys, they think that recording your hours on a peice of card is serving god and the amount of hours you have served for God. lets get the fact straight once and for all. You are counting your hours you have served for THE CROTCHTOWER. and nothing more.

Others here will give you more insight, i only studied for a year myself and was never baptized, but all i will say is, man im glad i never went through with it! Just so you know, once your baptized, its not like you really have much of a choice with the preaching etc. and you like christmas, as does the rest of the world, but hey you will have to forget that too! or on the other hand you can stilll celebrate it!!!! the downside is if you get caught by anyone who is a witness you will be told on and disfellowshipped and/or reproved, then shunned by your so called new family! some freinds! remember...Jesus says to watch out for false prphets and the watchtower IS a false prophet.
The disciples were asking Jesus how would we possible know if they are a false prophet whoever claims to be? And jesus says simply, if what they prophecy does not occur, you will know it did not come from God.
The watchtower has predicted the end times several times and now try to cover it up. They will all DENY it but it is true. Do your research friend!
this is just one of a million embarrassing lies from the watchtower.
Remember friend, would Jesus SHUN people ? Absolutely not, in fact the opposite. he died for them, the very people who killed him!
ill stop my rambling, others have much more insight than me.

AS ABibleStudent has rightly pointed out, you have clearly dodged a bullet. Do not get caught up in this cult. These JWs will see you as what they would refer to the rest of the world as " worldly" or corrupted by satan and a bad influence.
i would give you a long in depth detailed description on what i think is going on here, but you dont want to hear it, and i dont wanna type it but ill say this:
He is clearly in 2 minds about this faith (cult) and that is NOT a good sign. You dont want years down the track for him to turn your future kids into JWs and refuse them a blood transfusion and possibly die!
stay well away from the cult, run away!

There is no social programme in exsistance that recommends shunning as a means of rehabilitation
by jambon1 incan someone tell the wts/jw's how utterly counter productive & cruel shunning is?.
apart from serious crimes where a person might conscientiously have nothing to do with a friend/relative, people who are struggling with any kind of issues generally need love, support & kindness.. shunning is unnecessary, evil & humiliating.. does the punishment really fit the crime?
someone caves into the 'sins of the flesh' so they are cut off from all human contact with everyone they know?.

this is a f*****g evil form of punishment. excuse the language but to see people suffer in this way but their actual friends is an utter appauling disgrace.
fortunately however as sad as it seems, being d/f is probably the single best thing that could happen to a JW.

i am begging for some much needed encouragment and support by those who are kind hearted and know exactly the pain shunning causes.

I am pretty much new myself here, just been a lurker in the background for several months and recently started posting.
i think you will find you will get an enormous response from everone here, because everyone here has been through if not the same, almost similar to what you are going through and here is your support.
Dont be afraid to talk about the reason you were disfellowshipped over(if you are afraid to mention it) people here have been there and done that with a lot of bad things, but none of us would even bat an eyelid.
The jehovahs witnesses may be very friendly and think they are Gods chosen people, but they couldnt be further from the truth.
I am so sorry you have been victimized to this disfellowshipping, i know Jesus Christ certainly would not treat people this way, after all, if your child falls down you dont throw him back down again.
Feel free to open your heart up to everyone here, becasue all these people have helped me, and we have all helped each other in the same way we will for you.
Keep strong and dont worry, becasue before you know it being disfellowshipped was probably the best thing that could ever happen to you.
Things will come good with your family.
