i just thought i'd drop a note.
i have been reading these boards for over 2 maybe 3 weeks, and a couple days ago registered.
even though i have never posted i feel like i know a lot of you already.
Welcome aboard! I have learned a lot by reading and posting here also. It can definately be addicting. I am still amazed how we can relate to each other by having been in the truth. We have so much in common. There are so many different stages that people here are going through. You can find various opinions on just about any topic. Welcome and I look forward to many of your posts.

the other evening when i put the garbage out, i got that creepy "i'm being watched" feeling.. elders?
i thought, looking around in a discreetly paranoid fashion.. nope.
it wasn't elders.
Here's another idea to get rid of raccoons. Sprinkle a box of mothballs around and in your garbage cans. The raccoons stopped coming by when I did this at my house. They don't like the smell of the mothballs and it worked for me!

reports are coming from the united states that small flags and flag badges are being distributed at schools and other public places.. many are refusing to take a flag and this is causing resentment and hurt feelings.
not wishing to offend, witnesses are asking their elders what they should do.. cheers,.

I work in a arts and crafts gallery. There are many crafters who are donating proceeds of their sales to charities.
There are no red, white and blue craft materials and flags to be found anywhere. We have 3 page waiting list for American flags, so that these customers can display their flags.

seeing all these different people on this board, together with varying personalities, thoughts and opinions, makes me wonder about our reading and viewing material.. take the daily news.
if you watch tv, which news programme do you spend most time viewing and why?
the same question as to which daily newspaper you read, plus, does your newspaper have a political bias that attracts you?
I prefer television over the "written word." (I do read the free local community paper.) I like to switch around national news channels. I find Peter Jennings very upbeat over Dan Rather. Because I have a satelite, I listen to the international news, (they show things that never make it in the U.S.) especially the German channel Deutsche Welle, and the Swiss-French news on TV5.

The only thing I heard from my parent about today's Sunday meeting was that witnesses have to be very careful about nationalism in Satan's world. Not to become very patriotic and to remain "separate from the world," during this time.
How can these so called "Christians" be so cold? What about the example of the samaritian?

people come into your life for a reason, a season or a lifetime.. when you figure out which it is, you know exactly what to do.. when someone is in your life for a reason, it is usually to meet a need you have expressed outwardly or inwardly.. they have come to assist you through a difficulty,.
to provide you with guidance and support,.
to aid you physically, emotionally, or spiritually.. they may seem, like a godsend and they are.. they are there for the reason you need them to be.. then without any wrongdoing on your part or at an inconvenient time, this person may say or do something to bring the relationship to an end.
