Mine is a reference to both Gordon Freeman (the protagonist of the Half-Life videogame series) and my newly acquired mental freedom. Down with the Combine/WTS!

A recent thread “leaked” a letter from the WTBTS HQ telling all congregations that soon the Awake magazine would be cut in half in size and that they were focusing more traffic away from printed material but instead they wanted to increase traffic to their soon to be revamped and merged website. Could you please link to this thread, or to the leaked letter?

Do Any of you JWs watch anime?
by BlackTwisted inif so, what is your favorite one?.
one of my friends said she couldn't watch anime because of where it was orginated and it was a tradition, if that were true, then everyone in japan would be drawing anime of "tradition" like what the heck?
since when did drawing ever became a tradition?

Secret signal to find each other at District Convention
by RayPublisher inlast year this was brought up and it was a great idea but maybe a bit too late.
do you remember the "secret signal" that was going to be used?
it should not be mentioned in the main thread, only through email and pms.

What could trigger a large proportion of JWs at once that this religion is a scam
by Mr Facts ini am just thinking if there could ever be anything that would raise consciousness in the minds of millions of jws that this a completely hoax.
what could spark millions of them at once, any thoughts?..
-

Except all those things happened before the advent of the internet. A proper scandal (not like the UN thing which is a bit of a non-issue IMO) in the internet era could have serious repercussions for the society. Things no longer occuein a vacuum. That's a good point. The Internet would give it proper coverage and spreading.

I'm afraid history has shown us that nothing can cause such a reaction among JWs. Really big things (1975, the Rutherford power struggle) have happened in the past and they did not cause a mass exodus or anything like that.

Shy JW at the door ... the pain of it
by MrMonroe insomeone tweeted today: "a jehovah's witness who is shy to people at the door.
those few words paint such a sad picture.
how many jws with little self-esteem and self-confidence, particularly born-ins who have never known anything different, are sent out into neighbourhoods to knock on the doors of strangers and speak to them, knowing the householder resents them being there?
-

It's not so much shyness but a feeling of being unwelcome
You nailed it.

by Londo111 ini am infp.. some former witnesses in my hometown had a meetup last night...alas, only four of us.
