Awake of January 2014 - analysis
by Anony Mous init's been forever since i browsed over a wt publication.
this is my analysis of the 2014 awake:.
- there is a lot more white space and pictures, a lot less text, it seems a lot shorter than other, paragraphs are the size of tweets.

I was amazed at how simplistic the new Awake was! What happened to the deeper articles and the research... this is all blah fill-in! A disgrace really.

Evolution - What Darwin Never Knew

There are still people refusing to see the multiple evidence of evolution — worse yet — they refuse to LEARN about it.
What do they FEAR? Truth fears no examination... unless truth is not the goal.
Here's a video that can help those who think that evolution is what the WTS explains it is.

A mole within the FDS!
by braincleaned init has been now verified that there was a traitor within the gb!.
an insider had the courage and audacity to verify this, taking the risk of being kicked out of bethel, with a cross carved on his forehead.. it became apparent that all the men of the gb where naturally bald, even when some tried to hide it with a clever and stylistic comb-over.
but there was some suspicion that pierce and losch were not true bald men.

It has been now verified that there was a traitor within the GB!
An insider had the courage and audacity to verify this, taking the risk of being kicked out of Bethel, with a cross carved on his forehead. It became apparent that all the men of the GB where naturally bald, even when some tried to hide it with a clever and stylistic comb-over. But there was some suspicion that Pierce and Losch were not true bald men. Although they had repeatedly claimed that they were wearing a wig, questions about their true allegiance to the "Faithful and Bald Slave" started echoing rumors in the halls of Bethel.
The bold insider faked tripping over and caught the wig of G.Pierce. It stayed in his grip as he fell on the floor swearing, confirming the loyalty of the bald man. The next one would be Losch, as speculations flew about his accent, and his possible betrayal of this all-American entity.
Our insider prepared his plan with care. Taking advantage of a bathroom break, he entered the stall next to where Losch was letting go of some natural excesses… and reaching over, pulled with all his might on the leader's hair, prompting a loud scream of pain (with an accent) that revealed the impostor!
Thankfully, the press and online media was prepared outside the stall, and took multiple photos and videos of the upset "mole" with his trunks still down, red in the face and swearing in his native language. The other members refused to answer our calls to comment.
*UPDATE: A new member is being rumored to replace the groomed traitor. Nobody knows yet, but Bruce Willis has been seen lurking around the premise. We will follow up on this story.

I have faith that there are more exJWs than Jws. I also predict that within the next 3 years, the WTS will dissolve due to a Great Exposition of its failings. I cannot explain it really... maybe the Holy Spirit told me.
All my information comes from the great Boompah in the Clouds. He alone knows the truth. I am just a messager. Giggity-giggity. -

Epistemology. I Wonder 2...
by braincleaned inwhat is the value of our knowledge?.
i respect all beliefs for what they are.
but many of us are being treated condescendingly by those who have more certainty than we atheists do.

Cofty, I agree. But I admit that that Tec's method of reasoning is not rooted in traditional creationism.
I may be wrong, but I don't think she believes in Adam & Eve in a literal sense.
I admit that I find myself unable to dispute her beliefs at this point — which have surprised me in their peculiarity. As I have said, at this point the focus of discussion may need to be on Faith itself.
Paul defines Faith as a matter of 'trust in hope based on unseen evidence'.
I don't believe like some say that Faith is a word interchangeable with Trust. It is more complex than that. From my perspective, I do think that Faith is an unreasonable quality, as it excludes the search or need for any form of empirical evidence.
I also think that Faith is more deeply rooted in emotional need than any other thought processes.
Although not a synonym of hope, hope is an intrinsic part of Faith.Very heavy stuff that usually delves into the philosophical tentacles of infinite propositions.

Well I must say this discussion was interesting and thank you tec for your honest answers.
I can more easily understand your process, and although of course I have a different one, I can respect your sincerety in using it. I agree about the limitations of our tools. I will admit that the scientific method is not perfect — I just think it's the best we have to date for generating empirical data.
As for these limits not being a problem for Christ, of course, this is a statement of Faith that I cannot dispute.
I can only dispute the validity of Faith itself — which is subject deserving another thread altogether! :D
Once again, thank you. Nice to go thru a discussion without sarcasm nor childish fightiing. -

If anyone here sees flaws in my latest argument above, please, I would glady hear them pointed out. I'm here to learn and share, not to preach.

Really, in short, the argument I'm presenting is against the claim of knowing, as opposed to the more humble position of conviction open to inquiry.
Faith as epistemological immodesty, against the awarness and acceptance of our limited information and perception.
