  I absolutely stand by any questions I have raised in this thread.

  Guys you have to admit that Mr Unthank does a lot of obfuscating. Every time he writes something he seems to obfuscate. As for you sizemik - in the past whenever I tried to raise a question regarding Mr unthank to add some rational perspective you would pounce. I really don't give a toss for your contempt.

  Will The Watchtower Society Continue To Comply With The Working With Children Act?

  i'm hoping that this thread can address the current situation in australia without being derailed by debate about steven unthank and any errors of judgement that he may have committed.

  i'm not saying that debate isn't needed or appropriate.

  it's just that there are already enough other threads handling that subject.. the crown has implied that they are unwilling to enforce the working with children act.

  my understanding, although my memory may be at fault, is that the letter that was sent out to congregations informed witnesses in Australia that it was not necessary to get themselves checked but that they could if they wanted to.

  I would be grateful if someone could clarify what was in the letter.

  ohiocowboy has just posted this information on the two other threads dealing with the sudden collapse of the unthank cases.. i don't know steven unthank, but i just want to thank him from the bottom of my heart for having the courage against overwhelming odds to try and bring the watch tower society to justice over their deplorable neglect when it comes to protecting children from abuse and molestation.. steven is a man of justice and integrity who i deeply admire.

  his actions will never be forgotten, and i only hope he can find it within himself to continue his work in whatever avenue may become available in the future.. they have won this battle, but they can never win the war.. .

  I commend Steven's efforts and I believe his heart is in the right place. so thanks Steven - you don't need to achieve recognisable results to be appreciated though.

  No one person is ever going to bring down the Watchtower society or even get them to eat humble pie. We can all just chip away in our own way and in our own time.

  I am horrified to know that the WTS council took out a phone camera and took pics of the jws who showed up. Sounds like the WTS is taking names and plans on kicking them out. What happened to those jws?

  there is perfectly legitimate reason why wt council would have done this, surely this has occured to mr unthank.

  edit: to dismantle mr unthanks koolaidman style fabrication - that he was representing Jehovahs witnesses and Jehovahs witness children. If wt council could prove that the majority of the audience were not Jehovahs witnesses as claimed by Mr unthank in one of his interpretations of the events for example, and well publicised here, then this would in effect cast doubt on his testimony

  please tell mr unthank to take a well earned holiday far away from koolaidman and his group of advisers

  the mind boggles: the australian government / victorian government is held up to ridicule by people all over the world for failing to prosecute the wtb&ts, eg.jehovahs witnesses, for refusing to obtain working with children checks over a period of three years,in spite of the various agencies offering to give advice and assistance over that period of time to obtain one.

  they arrogantly refused any such help.

  today we learn that the dept.of prosecutions has taken over the case with the intent to dismiss this case because it`s" not in the public interest.

  az, it is quite insulting to our intelligence if this face saving exercise/spin (of saying that that WT have been forced to comply with WWC legislation by Mr Unthank) goes ahead. The WT is still a problem, the case, indeed the collapse of it, indicates that the problem has not gone away.

  Mr Unthank is a hero in every sense but what he has achieved remains to be seen.
