Public Apology Nathan Natas
by Simon ini'd like to offer a public apology to nathan natas for making a wrong decision when i deleted him.. i allowed a combination of previous issues we'd had and input from other forum members to bias my decision which lead me to what i now, in hindsight, believe to have been a mistake.. whether you want to come back and post here or not i wanted to at least say sorry and will reactivate your account..

I often found myself in confrontation with cedars. Now in looking back and in seeing what was in the pipeline I have to say he has great skills in railroading and corralling. Basically now he needs to use those skills just as ruthlessly (I think so anyway) as he did in the past to railroad and corrall his team mates. I can't see Bo Juel Jensen, Richard E Kelley or Julia BD being corralled or railroaded. They must rise above their anger and their own way of doing things and think of the team.

there is bigger issue here. For arguments sake if Besty, who is disfellowshipped, comes into need would AAWA now refuse to support him? and if so should people be supporting AAWA with their donations?

Some friday morning reflections
by Gorbatchov injust reading all the aawa related topics this morning and it makes me really sad.
i'm not related to aawa, just a fader in western europe and a longtime member of h2o and later on jwd.. it makes me sad to see what's the legacy of the watchtower society religion: kgb style betrayal of family members, making screenshots of facebook group members, just to betray their christian brother and sister to the elders, to interrogate them, try to confess their faults and correct them aggressively.
this behaviour places our religion definitly at the dark pages of history.. it makes me sad to see that some group of good peope, forming an association, then some things going wrong with the important and sacred topic named privacy.

venetian - AAWA is turning on the wrong person and they have an antecendent in this in the way the Watchtower society handles whistle blowers

Besty, imo, is the best jwactivst AAWA could ever hope for and now they want to delete him

wow - Besty's post has rankled the founder of AAWA although they themselves made the group open for a time and although victims of a few members of AAWA have been asking repeatedly for the names of the culprits to try and salvage some of the the noble aims of AAWA itself.
Personally I hope that jwfacts distances himself from this group.
edit: I have tried my best to be positive about AAWA to begin with but ever since the outings and AAWA's responses this has become impossible

I hate to think what will happen when AAWA has local co-ordinators "inadvertently" outing people when their cavalierly led task force takes to the ground.

How is Life measured at Death?
by Monsieur inrecently an old friend died in an accident at the tender age of 35. the unfortunate event has been described from 'sad' to 'unfair' etc.. dying of old age is one thing, dying of sickness even.. but dying abruptly in an accident (or worse, being eaten by another creature, shark etc) is downright ludicrious.. if there is no afterlife in any shape or form, and one dies being struck by a surviving drunk driver or murdered at a theater, a tornado, or mauled by piranhas, what the hell is the point of that??.
what of all your work to raise a good family, helping your fellow man, doing good deeds, building something etc.??.
it's almost laughable to think that one can do all these things and in the broad spectrum of things death can make it all ultimately meaningless....

Death as you describe in your op, Monsieur, is a huge loss, it is a complete change that pushes toward another identity both symbolically and in concrete terms. This is how I see the death of a young person. I guess this will be true od af dying at any age but when a young person dies it can be felt even more acutely.
