Yes some did think he was Michael the Archangel-but he scoffed at the thought- I feel sorry for him after all- he was expelled the same as all of us - he must have gone through the same feelings as I did- whenI found out I had been in a lie for so long- especially since I heard he supported them very well finacally..
I am going to make a comment here-you will all probably want to stone me for- But do any of us really leave INTACT? Dont the" BIG O"mess so well with our minds that it has left us with a "screw lose?"
Sorry I ddont wish to offend- but I have a support group for exJW & each of them do admit -it messed with their minds..How about yours?

by seven006 init is hard for me to transcibe certain feelings into written words especially since i'm not what you would consider to be a real emotional person.
i have also mastered the art of rarely showing any outward emotional expression.
i will try and do my best to give you some of the feelings i experienced today through my eyes, so please bare with me.. i drove the hour to mcminnville which is a small town about forty miles south of portland.

Dave,As I sit here & read your comments. I too, want to say thanks you so much((((hug)))If only he could have known- there IS life after the Watchtower. My dear, dear brother,it was so sweet of you to share the experience -I too live in Canada- so could not attend.
I pray the conscious of all in the family who shunned him, the elders that put sentence on him,will not leave them until they pray for forgiveness. When will it end- this vicious hate -that is ingrained in their minds.

Depression
by DazedAndConfused insince leaving the organism i have had a problem with emotional situations.
i have bee labeled "bp", for those that don't know what bp is.....it is bi-polar.
what i am finding is that anyone that shows a behavior that is not in the norm....they are labeled bp.. we are given lithium and a meriad of other me's to correct this "condition".

I have a Grand daughter with BI-POlar( they used to call it manic depressive) I too think it would be wise to get a second opinion.
She has High days & low days -Goes on spending sprees, Is very permissive in her single life( I am not saying this is you) I am just explianing what the Drs say BI-POLAR could be like- She was "OUTED" from tme WT .I believe that also helped her depression.
If there is any thing the board could help you with- pleae ask, Some of us want to help... Some on board may be "ticked" at the WT & want to vent. I have been out since 1987- Go to http://www.jwinfoline.com/Page/audio.htm -listen to some of the testimonies- they may help you. Take care.... -

was a devoted JW for about 25 years. I went through two operations no blood. My husband not a bleiever used to beat me often to stop me going to the K.Hall. But I felt that was the persecution I was to take to get into the Kingdom. There was two things I had a hard time believing. 1 The brothers were not allowed to have beards 2 Jesus came invisably in 1914....I LOVE JWS My kids are still there, ( though they musnt speak to me) Why??? Because I was DF because I said I didnt believe Jesus came invisably in 1914-( No where does it say this in scripture) I made 10 people JWS....I nearly killed myself when the DF me.But you know what- There were folks out thereIN THE WORLD- who showed me the very thing I had been reading in the Bible
God is a God of Love--- He sent Jesus to die for us all. Of course I poopoo all these" silly sayings" after all who had MORE love than US JWS-----I KNEW what the JWS said Had to be right... Well let me tell you honey. I am old now- But thank God those "Silly People" who showed me LOVE UNCONDITIONAL love- I Am free of the "BIG O" & HAPPY now 'BIG O" in my words the Organization of JWS. Yes Borg I did talk to Dan but he said I had to go into Sacremeto
( sorry guys cant spell it) & that costs $800 return, where as the
place you told me was only 500( I forgot now) But Dan said "No that is too far to be picked up." So I said forget it. with 800.00 for the flight, & the cost of the cabin etc:( for every American $ I have to pay $ 1.63) I wouldnt have enough to bury myself with .:)

How important is good spelling?
by sleepy inif you read my post's you may have noticed i'm not the best at spelling.. i think i could be dyslexic, my father and one of my sisters are, and i tend to make the same mistakes.. also i havent had the need to do much writing since i left school so i'm out of practise.. i believe i'm getting in better, at least i hope so .. anyway the point is this.i once had a discusson with a brother about spelling.he believed there was a correct absolute standard for spelling words, which was the oxford dictionary.. the way it was spelt there is the way to spell it.. if they changed the spelling you should change.. but i feel things like spelling are not absolute.of course people need to understand what we write.but i feel small changes to words to make them fit more inline with how we say them would be benifical.. what is the point of having a word spelt a different way to how it is said?.
but do you judge poster's intelligence on their spelling?.
i guess we mostly do.. how important to you is the way people spell?
