  What do Jehovah's Witnesses Believe?

  jehovah's witnesses are interested in you and your problems.

  they feel their beliefs are most obviously inspired of god.

  jehovah's witnesses do believe that they should be teaching biblical truth.

  Paradise they promised us. How do I know? well I was reading "The Time Is At Hand"published in 1907 Page 99 told me...This
  "In view of THIS STRONG BIBLE Evidence concerning the Times of the Gentiles,we consider it an ESTABLISHED truth that the final end of the kingdoms of this world,& the FULL establishment of the Kingdom of God ,will be accomplished by the END of A.D.1914
  ( then on page 101 they say)
  "Be not surprised, then, when in subsequent chapters we present proofs that the setting up of the Kingdom of God is already begun that it is pointed out in prophecy as due to begin the excercise of power in A.D. 1878 & that the "battle of the great day of God Almighty" which will end in A.D.1914 with the complete overthrow of the earths present rulership ,is already commenced:

  as a mystical christian, i am just as distressed about child molestation as is mr bowen.

  however i wonder about this man's motives.

  why did he choose to handle his row with the witness organization in this way?

  But my feeling is she/he/is really hurting-She is doing what we( when in bondage) was also trying to do( as we were told to do) cover over adversity....
  I think he/she may be having doubts about the "BIG O" ( well isnt it a big organization)or orgasim.......
  The more we "run: with her/him - may get out of breath & stop & rest & find out "hey ! maybe I should think about my loyalty to what?"

  Kismet -I agree with your post whole heartily
  Hilda-I feel so sorry for you. Your trying to be loyal to The Watchtower.....But why not pray & ask for TRUTH about the Watchtower. I know I was just like you while I was with them from 1963-1987
  when they kicked me out-cos I didnt believe Jesus came invisably in 1914-I lost family( shunning) I say Thanks Bill Bowen to have the guts to stand up & be counted.

  Last Days & Hard times!

  if everybody goes to heaven, what"s the point of the resurrection?

  i tell you first hand with much meekfulness, that this life is not the life that mankind is suppose to be living in, and the only reason why we have been living in this life so long is because "the messiah" coming will be long<very long>, it was not jehovah's plan for us to die< adam & eve is the cause> satan the devil is the main source> and the paradise is not lost, cause if the earthly paradise was lost, then there be no creator, then the sun would not rise over the wicked & righteous... .

  only the 144,000 goes to heaven to be a witness over mankind judgement after armageddon, the earth is not a testing ground, jehovah god has given us the earth & the thrones of heaven are jehovah- psalms- 116-115 verse 15-16.... noah & moses was great servants of "yah-weh & they did not enter heaven< billions are dead in there grave- & the resurrection is the truth .

  I suggest you do a research on the name of Jehovah- I did & I was surprised.
  We all have to examine what we really believe- It is not a good rendering of Gods name.

  i recently got hold of the book the catholic answer to the jehovah's witnesses (louise d'angelo, maryheart catholic information center, meriden, connecticut, 1981).

  it's a pretty critique of the jws in many parts, especially on the topic of "jws and false predictions".

  with regard to "the generation of 1914" it said:.

  what effect has having a whole section of your life proved to be a falsehood had on you?.

  anybody that has been a witness will understand the time, effort, comitment and money that it took to be a member.

  the way it dominated our lives, affected every decision we made and shaped our future.. some have left and turned to other faiths and some (like myself) have lost all religious faith (and i make no appology for that).

  I might be one of the "some" you were referring to. I have a real strong faith in Jesus-I am sorry it offends you or "sickens" you as you say. But I loved Jehovah as a JW.On getting the left foot of fellowship- it didnt stop me from loving God- it stopped me from believing men.I could be wrong again( I was for 25 yrs) but I am enjoying my old age now- I dont have to "work" ( service) I dont have any meetings- I can stay in my bed on Sat morning & snuggle. No works to do.I can go into my room & pray- I dont have to worry about offending others by thinking I am doing O.K. to be this way. When folks tell me I am wrong-I dont have to haggel to prove I am.I am at peace -with myself & God. try to live & let live. My friend on the line XXXXXX
