May 15th Watchtower 2002-I see where they say God has a BODY!!!! as well as a spirit-Didnt I learn as a JW he was only spirit no body-
I guess the "Body Snatchers" must have returned the body--or do we have new light here???

Will JW increase continue?

(page 13 para 17) now is the time for jehovah to express mercy to his anointed servants and their other sheep companions.
the evidence that this is so is the extraordinary increase with which he has blessed them... .

Personally I do think this scandel on the Catholic church will give an increase to the Borg.I know when I was knocking on doors -thats the ones I hooked- those who were disappointed with what was going on in their church-
also Marilyn at 1-800-Why-1914 said after sept 11 a lot called her to say they were going back in the Borg... -

4 more days till I leave the Watchtower
by Leander inin a few more days i'll be making my departure from the wts, part of me is relieved and yet another part of me is dreading the drama i'll be going through shortly.
i've been trying to prepare myself for the deluge of questions that i know are sure to come from my family.
my wife will be the first person i tell obviously and then i'll tell my mother and younger brother.

Myself I would just fade-if I had the chance to.I would not write anything at all to Anyone- You might think it wont hurt you when they shun you-but then the gossip starts-& the family-even if they do decide to speak to you- there is a strange feeling among them .
Why dont you just drift- say nothing to noonejust that you want to examine more closely what you believe.
You will be marked- but at lest your family will see you ( might)
I miss my kids -( I am shunned) I am old now- but I would love to cuddle em before I die...... -

On the lighter side.....more gushing
by TR insome on this forum may remember the thread where i was gushing uncontrolably about my daughter graduating high school and receiving her aa from the local community college.
she will be attending gonzaga u. in the fall, btw.. anyway, just gushing a little more.
this friday is her 18th birthday, then she'll be graduating h.s.

Sexual Abuse of wives in the Borg

when it came out, the elders and my mother chose to put me in foster care and keep the abuser in the home and congregation - supposedly to keep me safe.. i believed that at the time.
my step-father who had abused me was no longer around so it was "safe" for me to come home from the foster home (more than 500 km away).

I remember you such a pretty little lass doing the sign language at the assemblies- Yes I would believe your story- I remember your hubby too.. I can very easily believe the "power" struggle about wives in subjection- he was so SPIRITUEL!!!! ( He & his brother could quote scripture about everything.)..I wondered why you married him in the first place- Now I know -pushy Mother...

what i mean is, what little gremlins lurked at the back of your mind?

I never could believe that we could say with surety that Jesus returned in 1914( invisable of course)Even when I got baptised I did not believe it-But because they admitted making a mistake about Jesus not having a beard- I figuered Jah would put 1914 straight.But then when they said I MUST believe it( I said I couldnt) they kicked me out. I still believed it was the truth for over a year & a half after I was ousted....Until I met some more Apostates- who set me on the path to THINKING,CHECKING,Using my brains------
