i have been an inactive poster here for months now.
present in spirit, watching the house filling up as more h2o refugees like me trample the border.
reading your great posts, laughing and crying with both anger and mirth, getting off on all the sex-talk.
this post is nothing if not eloquent.

THE "ALPHA AND OMEGA"OF REVELATION 22:12
Refers to Jehovah God - AWAKE! 8/22/78 p.28
Refers to Jesus Christ - WT 10/1/78 p.15
( A major change in just 2 months!)
just checked this and the second reference (w78 10/1), tho mentioning Rev text that refer to Jesus, does not re-interpret the 'Alpha & Omega.' The explanation as Jehovah was held in Revelation (88) and Reasoning (83,89) books and it is still current.

"jude," she [sue bridehead] said brightly, when he had finished and come back to her; "will you let me make you a new new testament, like the one i made for myself at christminster?".
how was that made?".
"i altered my old one by cutting up all the epistles and gospels into separate brochures, and rearranging them in chronological order as written, beginning the book with thessalonians, following on with the epistles, and putting the gospels much further on.
i found it intersting to learn on what a flimsy basis the dating of matthew at AD41 is based on. it came across when i read it sounding like an isolated reference from a 10th century translation, disputed by scholars. thats how i remember it. correct me if im wrong

consider the exit doors for the governing body.. we know that there was no authoritative governing body before 1976, so i will limit the scope of this thought to the time since then.
how do members leave the governing body?.
exit door number one: death; taken by most.. exit door number two: disgrace; taken by a couple.. exit door number three: triumph; taken by raymond franz.. has it ever been the case where a governing body member has left because of senility?
thx alan for clearing some of that up

organization with every passing day.
consider some trends they .
well, i dont think any of these are game-breakers, just steady trends. the WT will continue to post steady numbers for a long time to come...

you know, the jews were a warlike people.
the god they worshipped was entirely different than the loving father revealed by jesus.. hasn't it occured to anyone that when this god of love states that evil will be destroyed, that you will look for it but it will be gone, that what is meant is that the love of god has erased all traces of evil from the person practicing it?
you've known people like this; people who were at one time evil and who have rid themselves of it.
nice thought francoise, but if youre refering to the psalms and what the author had in mind when he wrote it, i think you're reading too much into it. it sounds, as u read it, like the author is really just concerned with the 'evildoers' being destroyed (in all manner of nastiness, mind you) and not so much with them being reformed.

#1. become a baptized, dedicated member of the jehovah's witness organization.
use every opportunity available to convince other people to join.
attend local meetings and follow the organization's rules and reccomendations in your daily life.
or just die anytime before armageddon and then you're pretty much a shoe-in

Im just repeating what was always said... and perhaps by juxtaposing it with the 2 other statements about his state of mind and mental agility, i was allowing the reader to draw conclusions about their veracity as well...

JW references:
Last week, some Jehovah's Witnesses came to the door,
and I wouldn't let them leave. They snuck away when
I went into the kitchen to get more lemonade.

Lisa: Hey! People are coming! I think they're Jehovah's Witnesses.
Marge: Yes!
Noreen: Wait, Marvin, I just had a thought. Maybe we're bothering people by trying to change their religion. What if we don't have all the answers?
Marvin: You're right, Noreen. Let's go get real jobs.
Marge: Hmmm ... I would have feigned interest.

watching the jw in service sat, i noticed how heavy their bookbags, or minisrty bags were, even the ones some children were carrying.
i said to myself how many books are needed for the simple mess.
of the good news?
hehe... yeah, just i think trying to counter the anti-door-to-door feelings in urban north america. trying to look less intimidating, ive even heard elders suggest that we should be allowed to drop the formal wear for the service. its a possibility...
