i wouldnt want to inundate them with mail but has anyone made inquiry to the DPI-NGO asking how WTB&TS qualified as one of the organizations that "Share in the ideals of the UN Charter" and that has committed "to devote a portion of their information programmes to promoting knowledge of the United Nations' principles and activities."

10 releases in a month and none in the month since? do they not show up right at the release date so that they simply havent posted the releases since 8/6 yet? or are there actually no releases for that period? could someone who visits this site often comment on whether this is unusual or not?

Of course, we need to avoid being overly tolerant. For instance, terrible damage is done when religious authorities tolerate abusive priests who persistently molest boys and girls. "Treating the children as occasions of sin," commented one reporter in Ireland, "the church authorities merely moved on the offending priest [to another location]."
Is just transferring such a man an example of proper tolerance? Hardly! Suppose a medical body allowed an irresponsible surgeon to continue operating, transferring him from one hospital to another, even though he was killing or maiming his patients. A mistaken sense of professional loyalty might produce such "tolerance." But what about the victims whose lives were lost or adversely affected because of negligent or even criminal practices?

Children aren't allowed to fantasize, pretend or have toys. Magazines, TV, radio and music are banned and independent thought is considered sinful.
Doctors are rarely used, children aren't given vaccinations and they teach that it's acceptable to lie to those who don't deserve the truth - including the courts, social workers, police officers and the media.
"It's like a big mind game. You don't have any choice (for) yourself," Zeb said. "They subtly control you. When everyone's that controlled, the elders have a lot of power. They really don't care about other people, they just want authority."

i cant get to this no matter what i try. both using the url directly and going thru the navigation on msn, i always get this error when i try to sign-in to passport:

according to the wt, satan has been doing the majority of the work for the last 1960 years or so.

while jehover had been resting since the exertions of giving birth to creation, he manage to finish his book.

since god completed his last book, he has gone into virtual hibernation.

good question. sure, there are lots of things. typewriters disappear when guards come on suprise searches. people die of heart attacks when they threaten the org. tracts and magazines show up in the weirdest places exactly when people are searching for the truth. ah, but nobody says those are miracles for sure. they only COULD be. yeah? well, try saying there just coincidences and see how many congregation picnics you get invited to then.

ok this has nothing to do with being a jw or anything of that nature but it is important to me and i need some help:.

here goes i have been drinking rum and coke (bacardi) since i can remember and finally realized that maybe it is contributing to my severly harsh hangovers.

so i went on a quest in search of a new drink.

"Special" meeting in October?

my mother told my husband that there is to be a 'special meeting' in october at the local sports arena (same place as dc's are held here) and that "only publishers are allowed to attend" that they will get "special cards" for admission from their local congregation and have to hand them in to get into the building.

i have no idea if this has anything to do with the "annual meeting" they always have (isn't that generally in october?

i spose the really great thing about the mt 24:45 prophecy is that its so open ended. it could mean whatever they need it to mean at any given time. jesus just asked the question, 'who really is the slave feeding at the proper time?' he didnt even answer his own question. the answer is simply a de facto observation. whoever's dispensing the food, thats the FDS. and the WT has established that they are the ones doing the feeding so lets just be done with it and say the WT IS THE F&DS. end of story. it would clear up the awkward understanding currently that has all these non-GB anointed, supposedly FDS but dispensing nothing. i think belbab is on to something here...
