in the previous thread of this series, i called lurkers attention to the need of being discreet when contemplating an exit from the jw religion.

i mentioned that the thread was borne as a result of the general observations i made reading old posts here and discussing with many ex-jws and their lives have gradually turned out.

that thread alone was visited more than 2,980 times and graced with 204 contributions.

thetrueone - I get your point, but dont lets deceive people with the intention that happy times are ahead once you are out of the borg. From a selfish point of view it appears that the control tactics the borg uses comes along with too many restrictions, but in the long run, it is just the most appropriate measure needed to coordinate decent living and inject sanity into an ever degrading human lifestyle.

You need to remember that in this world, we are not really "free" , even the so-called "freedom of speech" has its own borderline. We are all captive of one thing or the other at every point in time in our lifetime.

My message can be consummated with a proverb that goes this way "The devil we know is better than the God we don't know". That being said, Instead of dragging people out of the borg with our version of twisted speeches and masterful misrepresentation of reality, rather, lets encourage them to make peace and get-by with the reality they are familiar with by enhancing their motivation to keep their senses while serving Jehovah with their fellow brothers.

on this forum, i have carefully read most of the experiences of those who left the jw religion, i have even read experiences that have dated back to 2001, i have read the different circumstances surrounding their exits and what ensued upon leaving.

for the majority, i observed they are better remainning in the religion than leaving.

what benefit is there to strain family relationship because you want to be free?, please tell me, of what value is that freedom?,.

Part 3 to 9 of this series is underway, the following issues will be discussed in those series

* Can lurkers trust all the information on this forum?

* What is the credibility of all the materials that are confidently recommended to those having doubts, Crisis of conscience, Captives of Concept, Insearch of christain freedom, combatting cult mind control and releasing the bonds. Indepth analysis of the materials are currently going on. Series 4 to 8 will dig deep into a review of those books.

* A documentary of how a JW became apostate and subsequent events that ensued. How it started, how judicial committe was formed, his committe hearing session, how he joined JWN, How the shunning policy was implemented, How he met up in apostafest and how his life gradually turned out.

outsmartthesystem - There is no change that go down well with everyone, majority are happy with the changes but few are not and this happen in everyday situation of life, not everyone concur with even the normal way of doing things. Some complained and many may not. Many JWs see doctrinal changes as an evidence of divine intervention in the borg. It reinforces their conviction that Jesus is truly in full control and it keeps them in. So, doctrinal change is not an issue to count on as evidence for quitting.

isojourn -What I made were comparisms simply because many things we do in life are interwoven, they are all guided by thesame principle. So such comparism is equally waranted.

NewChapter - I want to drive lurkers far away, let them go and deal with their doubt with the elders, not to come here and here all sorts of rantings, complains and contempts. Let them go back to their elders and explain whatever they have in mind not to a place were chances are high they would be more confused than they were.
