Billy- The EX Bethelite- As you see from what I wrote above- I've been reading the old mags mostly, from the 70's through the 90's which do have some good articles, in my opinion. I know the newer ones have been dumbed down, I noticed that immediately once I received the older mags in the mail.

I've stopped my bible study but....

i said of course because i do love the awake and watchtower.
well, when she came by last week, she gave me the mags and then as we stood around chit-chatting, i realized we were basically still having the study, only we were standing up instead of sitting in the living room.

BandOntheRun- Thanks. No, It won't kill me to not have the mags. I recently ordered a back issue lot of 50 of them off Ebay. I really don't need any more than that, It's a hefty stack. I put a post on here about them and some of the things I read, it's been interesting. Anyway, after this post I've come to the realization I will just have to be forceful with her.

The Quiet One- Agreed. Wasting her time and mine. I guess I just don't know how to say, "I do not want the magazines. Do not come back." I know everyone will say, "that's exactly what you say!" but I was so receptive in the beginning and when I told her I no longer wanted the study, she asked, "well, I'll still bring the magazines, you like don't mind that do you?" which caught me off guard and I was like, "no, of course not, that's fine." So now, it's going to be kind of hardcore to say , "No more magazines. Do not come back." but I guess that's what I'll have to say.
Btw, if anyone has any advice on how to nicely and respectively end this, I would appreciate it-

Do you give to beggars?

I almost always give to beggars. But what sucks is when they come up and you think they need food or whatever but the minute you give them money they become, "crack-eyed" and start hopping around looking for the dopeman. That sucks. Then I know I"ve been had.

DagothUr- Then you undestand. :) Yes, I really like this lady. she is so nice but a time or two, the mask falls off and she has been passive aggressive and a little snarky- And then she snaps to and becomes so sweet again. I could totally see her not speaking to me if I saw her out or something, if I cut off contact. Oh lord, looks like I'm going to have to quit reading the mags and tell her to hit the road. Goodness.

I'm surprised that everyone is so shocked at me liking the magazines. Holy crap, should I not be reading them? They seem okay to me. I'm really shocked that everyone has an issue with me liking the magazines....
