Flipper- I just read your bio- I'm glad your son and wife are so supportive but sorry about your daughters :( that sucks. I know how you feel, my father won't talk to me, I wish it were at least for religious reasons but instead it's because his new wife has basically used the same techniques the JW's use- She's slowly over the years isolated him from every one in his family, even his own mother. He used to "sneak" to call me but that stopped about ten years ago. So I think I know how some of you feel, losing family members over some craziness. Oh well, good luck to you ! :)

Flipper- Yes, I thought they may wash up with soap! haha- just kidding! My husband recently bought three huge scary african masks and we put them in one of the bathrooms- even I don't like to go in that bathroom cause they're so scary- if they ever have to pee I'm sending them to another bathroom for sure!

Oh that's nice Quarterback, :) I hope they leave saying good things. Recently my husband put a big Buddha statue in the living room and the first I thought was, "Oh Lord, what are the JW's going to say when they see this?"

Yeah, actually these women are very nice and I don't think they gossip. I've just always wondered if , since the JW's think a Christmas tree is bad and idolatry is bad, how they must feel leaving a home with all those things in them.

Homeless, laid off Bethelites living in tents in VA.
by koolaid-man ina regular caller to our six screens of the watchtower conference call david w. contacted the six screens tele-network on sept. 1, 2011 and reported that allegedly some laid off bethelites were living in tents behind a giant food store in virginia.. david stated their were two well dressed men and a young women around 30 years old temporally living behind the supermarket.. the woman according to david said she was trying to get to florida but did not have the money for the trip.. david said the police arrived and questioned the homeless people and they told the police that they were recently released from the watchtower org in ny.
the police made no charges.. has anyone else heard of this happening?.

At the age of 48 I just graduated with my BA degree from college and I am on top of the world
by booker-t ini thought i would never get my college degree from a university in this century at the age of 48 but i did it and graduated with an "a-" average.
i did this all the while working a full time job and going to school full time.
it can be done and now i love school to death.

I've stopped my bible study but....
by PenelopePaige inthe lady i studied with asked if it would be okay if she still brought the magazines by.
i said of course because i do love the awake and watchtower.
well, when she came by last week, she gave me the mags and then as we stood around chit-chatting, i realized we were basically still having the study, only we were standing up instead of sitting in the living room.

Ding- I think you're right. You guys know much better than me about these things and that seems to be the general idea, that she is just "counting time". I'm reallly glad I found this site because when I first came here I was sincerely buying into all of it. My husband thought I'd lost my damn mind! Now, I think I agree with him. I'm just going to read my bible and that's it!

I suppose I will just text her and let her know I no longer want the magazines. I wish I had her email address so I could write a better letter of resignation but she's never given me her email address. So I guess a text will have to do.
Pam's girl- I know what you mean, I felt that way when I ended the bible study- RELIEF! And the sky didn't fall! I actually thought I was semi-enjoying the study but felt such a relief when I ended it.

Nikolas and Outlaw- You guys are funny- I was afraid someone was going to "outbid" me on Ebay and was surprised I was the only bidder and won! I guess I shouldn't have been so surprised..... haha
