  Anybody else had visions?

  when i was separating from my wife and leaving the jws, i had some visions.

  for some strange reason, i decided not to eat for a day, then when i found my thinking clearer and my emotions mellower, i fasted for another two days.

  so after the third day, i was walking down our street and i saw the houses burning after me, i felt this was an affirmation that marriage was decay and destruction, or wasteage.

  Really though - I have ESP - no joke. Example. We (hubby and I) listen to a radio station called 99X (new "rock.") My hubby won $99 and a chance to win a new Beul (Harley sports bike.) We had to go to a bar to see if we won. About 100 names were called. Leon was number 50 +/- and right before they announced his name as I non-winner I said You're next hun - and he was. Stuff like that happens to me all of the time.

  It gets much much much better ---

  Look and read the last chapter of Revelation. Jesus syas he is the ALpha and the Omega and that he sent his angel to the earth to give a witness... It is this chapter in the bible that made me see the "light."

  g'day folks,.

  yes, the winter weather is still beautiful here on the pacific side of the land of oz and we'd thought we'd have another bbq.. yes i know we did it last weekend, but we're a fun-loving bunch and jang's coming to visit, so any excuse for a party, eh?

  this time we're going to be having a quieter affair and it means we'll have to leave the harley's at home.

  what's the best way to stay awake during the watchtower study?

  oh, furthermore, what's the best way to stay awake during any witness "snooze-a-thon" brainwashing session?

  Good one Slayer, I wish I coulda seen that. LOL I always did the old standby and black out a tooth or two, add a couple of horns and vampire's teeth dripping blood. Then my mom would smack me (I was 17) and chew me out. Her little scene of fury caused more disturbance than my drawings.

  Wonder what otehr type of movies we could watch while "taping" the convention?

  what job could you have had?

  hi i've just come home from cleaning windows.what an absolutely soul destroying job.. when i think of the things i could have done.. i remmember how my teachers in school used to tell me i would surely go to university and get a good job.i remmember the shock on one teachers face a few years after i left school when i told her i was a window cleaner.. i was also intrested in art and quite good at it.my grandfather who wasn't a witness offered to help me and my brother get good jobs in the art world.. we turned him down.. arrmegeddon was so soon.. anyone else like me ?.

  what do you do and what could you have done?

  I would have been a pediatrician. I love children and enjoy the medical field overall and could have gotten a full scholarship, but my parents said that only vocational school was acceptable. I had the satisfaction of being a personal nurse to a 101 year old lady from Austria, best job I ever had. But, I'm in Sales now and make decent money, had to get a job where I could get off of my feet.

  if the watchtower organization rejects others calling them "inspired" yet the watchtower organization does call themselves "god's spirit-directed prophet" what is the difference?

  well the elders do not accept me.

  i do not fit the mold and nor will i change too.

  they asked for a book for me to see the questions answered for baptisim but they wouldn't give it to me because they have to decide if i can join???

  .....speaking of tattoos, you shoulda seen my father's face about 3 months ago when I bent over and he saw a decent sized tattoo of a leviathan style dragon on the very lower part of my back. He just about passed out. Then he starts looking up that tattoo scripture and counseling me right while the meeting was going on. It took everything I had not to die laughing!

  somebody mentioned getting flack for having get togethers for studying...the society is so damned scared that there will be some mob mentality if more than their proscribed little groups get together for anything other than their proscribed activities.

  paranoia much?

  it reminded me.... when i was first coming in, the congregation i was in had a boatload of kids...a ton around 8-10 years old.

  Yeah, we've had people try to play bible games or have bible costume parties and they were always shut down. The bible costume party was too much like Halloween and the bible games were not the Society's literature. Next thing you know they will tell the JW's not to learn how to write and read. That would be a better way of control wouldn't it? (re: Stargate)
