I tried it again - I really did. But, I originally came here because I thought this was a group who accepted you for who you were.
Instead I have found many are more judgemental than those in JW's. I came here for freedom of speech - but I see that my freedom is limited when I am attacked for my personal viewpoints.

MrMoe: It is comments such as these that made me rethink my position on using this board. If you would like to make nasty comments please go to the adult forum -- or better yet -- go stay at Usama bin Laden's house or Saddam's house.This way - you will get bashed - either by us verbally or by the US in a much more physical way. You are no different than these creeps who killed innocent people in a so called "holy war" on behalf of God.
How much do you all want to bet this creep lives in the US or at least part of a country within the United Nations?
If you don't like us, I will pay to ship you to a third world country if you would like. A one way ticket on the nearest plane scheduled for a hijacking.

A person passes judgment whenever a comment is made either with praise or condemnation.
You may assume if you would like that my comment was made in "great anger," but it was not. I was making a statement. Often times comments here are blown out of context and overly examined. Everyone that knows me personally knows I am not an angry person. You just don't see where I am coming from or why I say what I say. Your comment was an attack to some posters on this board and you stated I was "truly ugly." This is actually quite funny. You don't even know me.
Again - thanks for passing judgement without even gathering all of the facts.
Were you ever upset by the fact that someone said cruel comments to those whom you considered friends? I consider jonjon and joelbear freinds - so the comment made that they needed to be executed sickened me. Would I really have this person executed? For heaven's sake no. Quit taking things so seriously and lighten up.

I would really like to know who appointed you judge?
Take a closer look and realize this person said he wished homosexuals be drug out and executed. Perhaps the comment was simply made to make him realize how he was coming accross.
Do not make assumtions on the intent of a comment, when you do not truly know the source. The post was not made in anger and the sentence was taken out of context. Before you judge others, take into considerations of where they are coming from. My family is grieving right now for the friends they have lost, at the Pentagon and on a plane. Anybody capable of hate because someone is different is better off not being here. Thsi is my viepoint, but not an angry one. I am not an angry person, but can be misunderstood many times.
Anger stems from hurt - and why is that way so wrong? Why is your way of dealing with things and feelings so right? Who are you to judge right from wrong? An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth - people get what they ask for. Period.
Calling people ugly and making cruel assumptions makes you ugly. And I mean that in the nicest sort of way.

Nic - I enjoyed your post - perhaps youneed to do some real soul searching and searching through the bible as well. If this is the "truth" and Jehovah's "divine channel," then why are there innaccuracies? Why are there flaws? Why did they say 1975- was than not a false prophecy? Why do they have hate for people who do not fit in? Why are they like the Jewish religious leaders making extra rules? The list goes on, but I think you know they are wrong in many many ways. Perhaps it is time to rethink many things and do some hard core research.
Jesus commanded us to test our faith in the teachings of man. Will you follow that commandment?

I understand totally tat - I studied for a while with somebody just so I would not hurt thier feelings. JW's have a lot of love to offer those who are "interested." But - it is NOT the truth. Please visit www.freeminds.org. This Web site helped me more than anything in my research. Randy runs the site and was an overseer in Bethel. If anyone has knowledge on what is appropriate and accurate to post he is the one.
If you are searching for God - have you thought about visiting differnet churches or going to your local library and research thier doctrines. I have not found the "right religion." I think the correct one is plain old Christian. Want to find a church to go to, but so many just want my money - and I am a little nervous, too. I offered before - but please feel free to e-mail me with any questions or to chat. Maybe I can help or just be a listening ear.

What was said at meeting tonight
by MrMoe indad (elder) was unable to attend meeting tonight because of failing health.
he did tell me over the phone it was to be announced that this was not armegeddon, but just "signs of the times" since false religion is still standing.. although - from the point of view according to the bible- it says babylon the great is a city and people will see it all burn.
(no i do not think this is any sort of prophecy, so please do not give me any flack) any thought on this or other misunderstandings of wt doctrines on the bible book of revelation?

Not sure on the source, perhaps from the GB or maybe even our own local elders sick of the panic. Dad said that a lot of people were in a panic and they needed to re-read the Revelation book!
Glad to see you, too, Mustang. Have Ballistic or Slayer been posting? I don't see them anywhere... I wasn't going to come back, but my husband does not like talking about any of this mess. If I could I would enlist, although I don't know when I would see my daughter again... Mustang, do you work for the military? My father-in-law is a retired military man and was stationed at the Pentagon for years. I asked him if I should go in, he said not so sure, depends on if they want to use biological warfare and if so stay out because Emmie needs me. Anyhow, would love to chat with you later.
