  tattoos...did you rebel and get one?

  after i left the "troof" the first thing i did was run out and get a tattoo.now ,some 18 years later i still dont regret it.i even have gotten a couple of new ones in the past couple of years......i mean not that i am covered in them,but i think if a women has them ,there is nothing wrong with that has long as they are not all over everywhere.ie...neck,face or lower arms......... i just think it is sexy on a man..( a few....not on the same areas as the women ..ie..face and neck as well.

  ) but for a women to have them all over her is not attractive....i think for a women to have a couple in a suddle place..( like for your partner to see or find.lol) is sexy as well...this girl in our town, has them covering her face and arms.i just think she looks scary......(i do also think that they must be done professionally and kept realistic.

  )...i know your not to judge a book by its cover but, this girl wonders why, parents will not let children to her house to play with her child?

  Something To Open Your Eyes a Bit

  even if tarot is fake, it can be an interesting tool to help a person learn mroe about themselves, by triggering certain things or symbols to make us reflect and ponder, and perhaps give us a sense of hope.

  dreams and wishes is what keeps us going after all, not the problems of today or the issues of tomorrow.

  so, here is a link for you, regardless of your belief, maybe something you read will trigger something and make you think about who you are and what you want out of life, not 10 years from now, but this very moment.

  Did you get a headache today?

  the earth is undergoing a major geomagnetic storm today (october 15th).

  has anyone here noticed anything different about how they feel today?

  i have monitored my own responses to geomagnetic storms and find i almost always get a headache out of the blue and ringing of the ears.

  Did anyone see Oprah on Thursday? Polygamy and Child molestation

  i have wanted to post about this since i saw the show on thursday.

  it was shocking.

  here is a synopsis from oprah.com there was so much about their lives that reminded me of our lives as jw's.

  Are Witness Children Brighter than most?

  the recent thread about the 5yr old baptized got me to thinking....... i learned to read at an early age.

  i was also in all the gifted classes in school.

  i remember a great deal of the witness kids were in gifted classes.

  early on, yes, I agree they are taught t oread etc...

  but as you get older, you are then held back, college is usually out, so college prep courses and burdensome homework are usually traded for basic classes that allow more time for the 2 nights a week worht of meetings etc. Also evolution is rejected which can greatly stunt a lurning curve.

  got this "experience" in an email.

  it was sent by a sister i used to know quite well, i think she sent it to encourage me, but it has had the opposite effect.. "____________________.

  baptized at age 5. the mother and father of a little girl had a bible study with xxx.

  I think I believe it. Even then, I know of a friend of mine who was baptized at the age of 9. Which is fine, let a child participate, but don't involve the same legal ramifications. Choices made a minor child should not affect your adult years. Children are children for God's sake. The entire thing has bothered me for a logn time. I was on reading by the age of 4 and part of the Theo. School by the age of 5. The Elders are not allowed to tell kids no... they simply have to be able to undertand the questions...

  grr!!

  I do know of a far off sect of the Mormons that may endorse such teachings. Read "Under the Banner of Heaven" by John Krakauer. he talks about how they still practice polygamy and hold some of the really old school Calvinist and Mormon beliefs.

  Children are children! We can get court orders to get them blood... what abotu issues such as this? Fine, let them get baptized... but don't force them to be shunned
