Ditto with cofty. He would need to reconcile with you to prove he does 'forgive' you.

New World Translation Assaults on Language and Phrases that Always Wigged Me Out!
by DarioKehl ini listened to the august 4th episode of the healingxjws podcast where they interviewed a former jw circuit overseer.
he shared many great examples of how original meanings (especially poetry) were lost in this terrible translation.
it's worth listening to.

Dario-You are so right! If anyone would have ever told me my breast were like towers as a very young woman, I would've turned red with embarassment and run like a bat out of hell. If my brothers had been discussing my breasts in such manner, it would have been revolting. The SoS being called 'superlative' poetry always was gag inducing.
I too, have questioned the 'time indefinite' thing as being forever, as the word indefinite just means, un-defined. Infinity, means forever.
The term 'undeserved kindness' does make it seem like everyone is a worthless piece of crap.

Are you willing to put yourself through the emotional stress that will be forced upon you for that money? If you are, then definitely consult a lawyer. If you are not up to it, then just write your sister off, and never have anything to do with her again. Sometimes peace of mind is worth far more than money.
Whatever you decide to do, best wishes to you, your mom an your family.

Lost my best friend (man's best friend)
by Coffee House Girl injust wanted to write a tribute to my best friend whom i lost last week, it was one of the most painful experiences i have ever been through.
i have no children, my puppy was my child.
i got him from a golden retriever rescue organization when he was 2. he was recovering from a car accident, still a bit skiddish, but he chose me to take him home (the foster mom said that he never responded to anyone like he did me).. he was always happy to see me, greet me with a toy in his mouth, he never judged me, never cared whether i was "bad association", he was always there when i needed to smile and remembe that i was not alone in the world.

So sorry for Coffee House Girl, your dog was absolutely beautiful. I'm so happy that you had a friend when you needed one, and your memories of your time together will provide you with lovely mental pictures forever. I hope that when you are ready, you find yet another dog to make new memories and share your life with.

Joyfulfader-So glad to see you are getting tons of support here. It is amazing how going to a KH gives a person panic attacks. Panic has happened to me for many years, and was induced by going to the KH, and the controling strictures of the WTBTS.
It really is quite astonishing what the elders can and do get away with, I've seen it with my own two eyes too, though never really experienced the total lack of love you have. Whatever happen to "Love hopes all things, believes all things"? For them to call in the accounts servant to review whether or not you forged the letter from your ex takes the cake for wicked thinking, much less shows just how much the elders don't apply love believing all things, especially from someone trying to play by their rules.
Wishing you all the best.

Joyful-Welcome! I to have left while in my 40's. I too felt the relief of realizing 'I'm neve going back'. It truly is a relief. Regret accomplishes nothing, so don't let that linger too long, or else you may wind up in depression. What part of the world are you in?

New light or did the speaker just pull this out his wazoo?
by pubtruth ini went to the last day of the dc here in west palm beach, just to make my mother company.
wow, what a difference can a year outside the lie can do to perception.
it was the same crap as you'd expect but there is a plot twist: the speaker was so into the talk he was actually starting to shout and wound up mentioning that they now know how many angels will be needed to destroy everyone at armaggeddon.

I thought most of these DC talks were manuscript talks these days, monitored by some dolt in headphones, who read the manuscript whilst with brother read the talk. The dolt listened to make sure that the speaker wasn't inserting some of his own ideas into the talk. There was a little room, where this dolt was squestered. Maybe they don't do it for Spanish DCs.
