Welcome Teenage! Glad to have you here, I wish you could meet my son, so he could have a buddy, he sounds like you! Get yourself to the library and get some books on critical thinking, it will help teach you how to think, how to examine things and question things. My son has really benefited from his critical thinking course, and often brings up discrepancies that appear in the WTBTS publications, much to his father's annoyance.

How bizarre! I was just looking up 'marriage dissatisfaction', then switch to this site, and lo and behold this topic!
I am unhappy in my marriage. I've changed so much and my spouse hasn't. It is very frustrating. The other week, he was angry that while he was at the Sunday meeting with the kids, I went to see the movie "Lincoln" by myself. He acted like a baby when he got home and I wasn't here. My son said he was looking all over for me and when he read my note, he told my son 'our family is falling apart'. My whole married life I have waited and waited and waited for him to acknowledge my existence. When I finally stop waiting, and start trying to live, he is upset. I know longer care one way or the other, and he is feeling frightened, and is clingy and annoying, with long overdue declarations of love...it no longer matters to me.

by RULES & REGULATIONS incicero,illinois 1970's.
our four day assemblies in the 1970's through the 1980's were pure torture.. they were held at a horse race track in cicero,il in the smoking hot and humid month of july.
they charged around $2 for parking.

scary21-Funny you mention Aldi's soap, that is what I am currently using, and it works good too. I couldn't find washing soda, so I haven't made any of the above recipe in a while. Now that the above recipe lists how to make washing soda, I'll make it eventually. But, in the mean time, Aldi's does have good detergent.

I've used this recipe. It makes a lot of detergent. It worked great in my front loading washer, minimal sudsing. It cleaned my clothes really well, I was impressed. We kept it in a big spackling bucket and transferred it to a laundry bottle as needed. You do need to stir the mixture up every time you transfer to the smaller bottle, as it settles. Also, give your laundry bottle a shake before pouring out the detergent, just to mix it back up again.

I remember this illustration, but used with marbles. The 'brother' that was giving the talk actually used large marbles in a jar, he then added small marbles, but misjudged pouring them into the jar, the marbles rolled all over the stage and down into the audience. True Story. We all said that he lost his marbles...hiss, boo, hiss.

Be prepared to NOT sit in the family row, if they have one. You don't want to be invited to move out of the row in front of a bunch of self-righteous people.
The wedding talk is tedious, boring and down right embarassing. My teenage son was totally turned off when he heard one this fall, which is a good thing.

Do Witnesses Ever Talk About Their Living Forever And Never Dying?
by minimus inmy 86 year old mother stopped believing she was going into paradise earth without dying first, about 10 years ago.
my aunt used to think she was going to make it through the great tribulation.
even a week before she died, she clung on to this fairy tale.. do you think jws believe they will never die at all and will, in their lifetime, be on a paradise earth to live forever?.

My dad talked about getting into the Paradise by 'underground' recently. He was a true believer in 1975. He relocated his family across the country to save his brothers and sister from being destroyed in 1975...it is almost 40 years later and he is still gung ho, and broke, as he was never going to get old in this system.
My husband sometimes brings up that he always expected to live forever with me by his side and he is now sad that I won't be there. I told him not to worry, as armeggedon isn't coming anytime soon, and I'll be dead long before then...and being dead, I'll qualify for resurrection since someone like King Solomon, who was given everything by divine intervention, extreme wealth, wisdom and women, and he turned apostate and led an entire nation away from serving Jah, was getting a resurrection...surely an inconsequential woman with no special blessings from god would be too.
