JW ex-boss is such a horrid man!
by Julia Orwell inok, so my husband worked for this slave driver jw boss in a factory, and injured his back on the job.
so my husband has launched a compensation claim against the jw boss's worker insurance for unsafe work practices.
so the jw ex boss has responded to the claim with this mega statement affidavit thing.

Julia-The ex-boss is fighting this claim because his worker compensation rates will increase if he has a successful claim against him. It can be $10,000s extra a year if the claim is a large one.

I was discussing this hero with an uber-dub yesterday. She said to me "It doesn't matter"...as in it doesn't matter, because everything is vanity and striving after the wind, this guy isn't a JW, so it doesn't matter what he did. I turned to look at her and said "It mattered very much to these girls." I was disgusted and sickened by her fanatical fatalistic attitude.

I wanted to punch this elder so bad!

since i haven't gone in about 2 weeks, and i leave as soon as it ends, and elder decided to corner me at the end.
lately i've been through some very depressing family issues that are non-jw related so i haven't been my best at acting like i care about the org.

OneDay-That was an interesting post. You were dead on when you said 'who gave me that brain and what is the main purpose of the brain'. Why would Jehovah give us a brain if we weren't supposed to use it. I we were only supposed to obey, why not just give everyone a brain stem to control the main bodily functions...
My mom once told me I thought too much when I posed questions to her about the 'borg. It as this 'borg is only for stupid, unthinking people...which of course seems to be the case.

they were abducted by a man who is now 52. they were recovered, along with some little kids, from a house in cleveland when amanda made a dash for the door and screamed for help.
a man passing by called 911.. can't imagine what those poor young women have been through!.

This case is headlining nbcnews.com right now. Truly amazing. At least one child born of Amanda Berry is alive. There were apparently other babies born who did not survive. There were three middle age brothers who stole these young women from their families. These bloody bastards have been arrested.

Ever Have A Close Call?
by rocketman inyesterday i had a close call on the road - an out-of-control pickup truck veered into my lane, spinning as it approached and crashed into a pole about 50 feet in front of my car.
this is the second close encounter i've had, (both involving someone driving a pickup truck).
in this case, a couple of seconds made a huge difference, since i may have been directly hit had i just been a bit further along in my drive.. i would imagine that once a few days pass, i'll give less and less thought to the incident and i doubt it will precipitate major changes in my life or outlook (which i generally think is pretty healthy).
